1 User Guide Welcome to the PMA website You will be able to access data, reports, slideshows and other resources on the site according to the specification of your subscription. This short guide is designed to help you locate the key outputs of PMA s research and forecasting services. We would be delighted to help you get the best from the site by arranging an in-house demonstration or telephone tour, and our analysts will be happy to address detailed questions about our research output (please see Contacts on the main menu bar or Enquiry Contacts at the bottom of each regional menu). Are you looking for resources on the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, US or Global markets? UK-only Market Resources UK sector and subsector data, forecasts and reports? Please go to UK and select National Forecasts. You will find five-ten year projections for the main IPD sectors, updated every quarter. The key datasets are in Excel spreadsheets, and there are pdf reports to provide commentary each forecast round. UK town and city forecasts? Please go to UK and select Local Office, Retail or Industrial Forecasts. You will find five-year projections for most significant local markets, using prime indicators, and delivered in Excel. Detailed central London office market projections and analysis? Please go to UK and select Central London Offices. This Service focuses on submarket projections using IPD series, and provides more detailed analysis and reporting than the UK Local Office Forecasts. Data are in Excel sheets and there are reports in pdf format. Forecasts for a wide range of UK out-of-town retail formats? Please go to UK and select Retail Warehouses. You will find five-year projections for the full range of formats from solus stores to hybrid. This Service extends the key sector coverage in the National Forecasts, and uses bespoke IPD data. Forecasts for a wide range of UK shopping centre types? Please go to UK and select Shopping Centres. You will find five-year projections for a range of categories, based on size, dominance and town type. This Service extends the key sector coverage in the National Forecasts.

2 Comprehensive UK town and city reports? Please go to UK and select Local Market Reports (PROMIS). You can then view reports by market sector. These reports are dowloadable in pdf format using the menu bar, and data can be extracted in Excel format. You can compare the towns on a range of measures using the Comparative Data facility below the main town menus. European Market Resources (including key UK markets) The main office, retail or logistics time series and forecast numbers? Please go to Europe and select either Office: Forecasts, Retail: Forecasts or Logistics. In the Forecast Data panel at the top of each screen you will find Excel sheets containing annual time series data for all of the key markets, with one data workbook for each economic scenario. In the retail sector, we provide projections for national shopping centre ERVS and returns using portfolio-type data, as well as prime city centre forecasts. Quarterly (historic only) office, retail or logistics time data? Please go to Europe and select either Office: Forecasts, Retail: Forecasts or Logistics. In the Market Data panel you will find Excel sheets containing quarterly market indicators, investment transactions and other data as available. Written reports providing a forecast overview? Please go to Europe and select either Office: Forecasts, Retail: Forecasts or Logistics. In the Reports panel for offices and retail, and the Overview Presentations panel for Logistics, you will find pdf reports for each sector. For offices and retail, these are split into occupier and investment market reports. Other reports will appear in this panel from time-to-time, and you will also find PMA s Property Risk Indicator here. The most recent forecast presentation? In the Presentations panel for offices and retail, and the Overview Presentations panel for logistics, you will find pdf versions of the most recent Powerpoint slides and an audio-visual version of the presentation. Country-level slideshows? Please go to Europe and select either Office: Forecasts, or Retail: Forecasts. In the Country Shows panel for offices and retail, you will find pdf versions of slideshows looking in more detail at individual countries across Europe. These are uploaded incrementally after each forecast round, so, if a

3 particular country is not shown, you may wish to use the Contacts section to check if one is planned. City-level logistics summaries? Please go to Europe and select Logistics. In the City Overviews panel (4th down), you will find market summaries for the cities covered by the Service. Written city reports for offices and retail? Please go to Europe and select either Office: City Reports, or Retail: City Reports. You can then select your chosen market from the pulldown menu. Reports can be downloaded in pdf format and data extracted in Excel. Data schedules covering office development and transactions activity are available at the back of each office report along with a summary of the latest forecasts. In the retail sector, a Comparative Indicators dataset is provided in Excel below the report menu, along with the quarterly data available on the forecast page. For both sectors, individual enquiry contacts are provided for each report. Detailed shopping centre data? Please go to Europe and select Retail: Shopping Centres. On this page there is a pulldown menu enabling you to access detailed datasets and slide reports on a range of key national shopping centre markets. Beneath this menu you will find a repeat of the shopping centre forecast data from the main forecast section, and a comparative indicators Excel workbook proving key data on 17 countries, updated quarterly. Finally, you can query our existing supply database, containing information on centres of over 5,000 sq m in 10 countries. Retail warehouse data and forecasts? Please go to Europe and select Retail: Warehouses. On this page there is a data workbook covering 8 national markets, and delivering prime projections of rents and returns. Residential markets? Please go to Europe and select Residential. This page contains our data workbook with national-level house price forecasts for 7 countries.
