Areas of interest A: Data exchange strong IT accent Standardization Automation B: Collaboration and governance Collaboration using interactive tools C: Timing/calendar Adaptability to (and shortening of) yearly cycle Interaction with national processes D: Quality Output data assessment and input data improvement 11

A1: Data exchange on the basis of SDMX-ML data files Objectives Demonstrate exchange of SDMX-ML data files for EGR Reuse existing tools (e.g. SDMX Converter) to create SDMX-ML data files at national level IT-related tasks Retrieve SDMX implementation artefacts for EGR Install and configure SDMX Converter Prepare data file(s) for EGR in tabular form Convert to SDMX-ML data file(s) Send SDMX-ML data file(s) through EDAMIS Achieve a successful transmission IT Working Group meeting

A2: Automated generation of SDMX-ML data files Objectives Automatically generate SDMX-ML data files for EGR Reuse existing tools (e.g. SDMX-RI) for automated generation of SDMX-ML data files at national level IT-related tasks Retrieve SDMX implementation artefacts for EGR Install and configure SDMX-RI modules Create mapping between national dissemination DB and (given) SDMX file structure Generate and send SDMX-ML data through EDAMIS Achieve a successful transmission IT Working Group meeting

A3: Dynamic transfer (pulling) of data from national SBRs Objectives Establish dynamic data exchange IT-related tasks Retrieve SDMX implementation artefacts for EGR Install and configure SDMX-RI modules Create mapping between national dissemination DB and (given) SDMX file structure Connect to ESDEN (TESTA) network Expose SDMX-RI web service to Eurostat for pulling data Achieve a successful transmission IT Working Group meeting

A4: Automated data exchange using statistical services Objectives Demonstrate exchange of information between EGR IS and nsbr on the basis of web services Test a statistical service IT-related tasks Connect to ESDEN (TESTA) network Establish communication of nsbr with new web service (which resides at Eurostat's side) Elaborate test scenarios and prepare data requests Test and help revise the web service Achieve a successful transmission IT Working Group meeting

B: Collaboration and governance B1: in the EGR IM environment, NSI users of 2 or more countries work collaboratively on 2-3 complex groups and document their interaction B2: in the IPT environment, NSI profilers of 2 or more countries work collaboratively on 1-2 complex groups (profiled during and IPT cycle) and document their interaction IT Working Group meeting

C: Calendar/Timing C1: NSIs demonstrate their interaction with EGR during the yearly EGR cycle and propose a common calendar for EGR and nsbrs (and attempt to shorten the EGR cycle) C2: NSIs demonstrate their interaction with EGR and IPT during the yearly EGR and IPT cycles and propose a common calendar for EGR, IPT and the nsbr and national Profiling cycles IT Working Group meeting

D: Quality D1: NSIs describe their interaction with EGR IS and evaluate its contribution to quality improvement D2: NSIs describe their interaction with EGR IM and evaluate its contribution to quality improvement D3: NSIs describe their interaction with IPT and evaluate its contribution to quality improvement D4: NSIs describe their approach to integrate (all or part of) the Profiling outputs into the nsbr IT Working Group meeting
