7 Supplier Performance: NGR Timeliness Supplier / Forwarder SOPs: Operational procedures LTA > Shipping Instructions: (e) To ensure that the Freight Forwarder can arrange timely dispatch of the consignment(s), for each shipment under a Purchase Order, the Supplier will notify the Freight Forwarder, confirming the cargo particulars and the expected Goods Readiness date as defined in the Standard Operating Procedures between the Supplier and the Freight Forwarder, normally fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the Purchase Order delivery date 7

8 Supplier Performance: NGR Timeliness Purpose of the Notification of Goods Readiness For the Freight Forwarder (copy to UNICEF) and specifies: Readiness date Gross weight and volume / No of shipping units If full or partial delivery Confirmation that docs can be provided in accordance with timelines on PO normally sent to country 7 days prior to delivery Enables Forwarder to commence shipment planning: Booking requested and confirmed with airline and accepted by supplier (2-3 working days) Supplier to prepare shipping documents (1-3 working days) FF to issue pre-alert at least 7 days in advance of delivery in country (8 working days) Enabling delivery to take place around agreed PO delivery date 8
