4 Our services Wireless Impact Recorder for supervision of transport and material handling Cargolog Impact Recorder System Wireless computer-based data logger with built-in sensors supervises, deters and minimizes mishandling. The Impact Recorder is mounted directly onto your goods to register shocks, vibrations and environmental conditions during transport and reloading. It follows your goods throughout the entire logistic chain and provides you with documented data of the measurement results. Advanced transport monitoring system with a driver alarm for demanding transports Cargolog TMS90 Transport Monitoring System, a computer-based data logger, measures and records acceleration, duration of the acceleration and temperature with built-in sensors. Equipped with integrated GSM, you obtain information in real-time directly to your if the limit values are exceeded during the transport. Combined with a driver alarm, the driver of the transport receives a visible alarm and can stop to check and report on any damage. This provides an increased security and control of your transport from start to finish. Collision sensor with personal login for vehicle/truck Cargolog Vehicle Safety System Fleet Management System with collision sensor and personal login mounted on your warehouse vehicles. With personal login you can restrict the use and/ or grant authorization to start the vehicle solely to drivers with the right level of training. 7 Why you should use the Cargolog Impact Recorder System? Transport damage is often cited as the cause of product damage. The repercussions of these types of damage to your products or goods can be extensive and are not only related to repair costs, replacements and delays. They can also cause premature failure of the components, reduced life-expectancy, reducing productivity and damage the reputation of the company. Bad handling practice and unskilled sub-contractors can cost your company millions of Euro in product damage. It is therefore very important to determine how to best eliminate and reduce these costs at an early stage. Using Cargolog Impact Recorder System to monitor your goods is an easy and effective solution. For some products, humidity and temperature are critical factors, for others it may be shocks and vibrations, or perhaps a combination of influences from all areas. It is universally usable, having a multichannel measurement system, which makes it useful in many areas. How it works! 1. Connect the Impact Recorder to the software and program with the desired parameters. 2. Affix the Impact Recorder on the goods to be monitored. 3. 8 The four systems #0 Battery-powered data logger with built-in sensors measures and records acceleration and shocks (0.3-10G, resolution 0.01G Hz) also angles with (0-90, resolution 5 ) using Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS). Digital sensors measure and register temperature (-40 C to 85 C ± 0,3%) and humidity (0-100% ± 2%) with high accuracy and stability. Before transport, the impact recorder is pre-programmed with suitable values for the measuring channels you want to be activated during transport. This means that for each journey, you can set which measurement channels will be used and adjust these based on the goods prerequisites, method of transport and period of time #1 X Z Y System #0 measures and records acceleration, the duration of the acceleration and temperature with built-in sensors. This is our simplest available model for those who do not require any extra features. X Z Y System #1 measures and records acceleration, the duration of the acceleration, temperature, humidity and angle with built-in sensors. This is our standard system, available in different models, adjustable to suit your purpose. 8

9 #2 X Z Y System #2 is equipped with an integrated GPS receiver to register the geographic position at time intervals and/or at exceeded alarm levels. At the start of a measurement period, you decide how you want to register the geographical position as well as select the measurement channels that will be active and which alarm levels to use. Use to locate mishandling and identify the responsible parties, and thereby take action to reduce transport damage. The application is connected to a local database on your PC or Smartphone, and with a single keystroke you can see the GPS route or analyze a single GPS position. To obtain even more detailed information about the GPS positions, you can connect the program to an optional URL such as Google Maps and analyze the GPS position with all it benefits, finding the right transport mode and locate the incorrect handling of goods. 9

10 #3 System Obtain information in real-time about abnormal events and take immediate action, or prepare an action plan to save time and money before the arrival of your goods #3 is equipped with integrated GSM communication, for transfer of data in real-time. With this function you get secure and flexible control, which gives you the opportunity to react immediately when your goods are subject to incorrect handling. This is a cost-efficient method that facilitates detailed monitoring and gives you full control over your goods during transport. Whether you are interested in temperature changes or the forces your goods are exposed to, you get the information immediately when it occurs, including the GPS-position. This allows you to see what has happened and where your goods are located. Where levels have been exceeded, which could affect the products performance or safety, you can make preparations and take immediate action before the cargo is transhipped, or you can prepare an action plan for the arrival of your goods at site to save time and money. To save power, there is also the option to switch off GSM communication temporarily according a programmable schedule. This is a useful tool when GSM coverage is not available, for example, during transport at sea or by air.

11 Real-time cloud service - Cargolog Online With Cargolog Online, the impact recorder transmits data securely in real-time for viewing on any Internet or data enabled device such as a computer, tablet or mobile device. Take immediate action in the event of any mishandling Monitor your transport remotely and warn the receiver or carrier so they can inspect the goods for damage before arrival at the final destination. Access your data 24/7 You, your colleagues or at your choice your customers, can access the measurement results online, without any need to install additional software. 12 Mobitron s APP - The smart way to access data A data logger with Bluetooth enables easy wireless transfer of data to your PC or Mobitron s APP. With Mobitron s APP you can access all the important information directly on site. This allows you to react to potential damage immediately, before installation or use. With Mobitron s user friendly APP, you can simplify the daily work by transferring and accessing the data results directly on your Smartphone or tablet without additional equipment. Data files with GPS position are visible both as a table and graph. You can easily see the route on a map and can pinpoint where the damage has occurred. By using Mobitron s APP you can immediately see if the alarm levels have been exceeded, and thereby take action immediately. With your Smartphone you have all information gathered in one place, and can always go back to analyze the results again. 12

13 CargoLog PC Software On arrival, you will be able immediately to check for exceeded limits by checking the LED lights on your impact recorder. The measured results are then transfered to the Cargolog PC Software from your impact recorder providing an overview of the entire journey. All measured results are displayed in a diagram and can be analyzed second by second. The Cargolog Impact Recorder System provides the user with documentary data. It is thereby an excellent tool to be used when complying with quality standards such as ISO You can immediately extract maximum/minimum values, momentary values and also individual values of the measuring channels activated during transport for different points in time. The vertical axes for measurement values and the horizontal axis for time units can all be given new and different scales as desired. For further presentation to your colleagues or customers the data can also be exported to programs such as Excel for more detailed analysis or be printed as a PDF. 13

14 Cargolog TMS90 Cargolog TMS90 is a transport monitoring system for measuring and recording acceleration and the duration in three different directions, X-Y-Z, and temperature, combined with a driver alarm. At the same time as you obtain information in real-time if the limit values are exceeded, the driver of the transport receives a visible alarm and can stop at once to check and report on any damage that may have occurred. The alarm is reset by an authorized operator pulling a reset tag along the system s RFID sensor, which is mounted in the enclosure on the goods. Afterwards, the driver can continue the transport until a new alarm is given. The result is efficient and safe transports! 14

15 We have been using this model to monitor the delivery of 365 sensitive wind turbine components, in a very remote area in the north of Kenya, 1250 km from the port of entry in Mombasa. The route comprised the public highway network and a site access road, upgraded for the project, which both required constant monitoring. This tool assisted us a lot in monitoring the road quality and in identifying road maintenance requirements, as well as protecting cargo integrity by stopping convoys when set alarm levels were trigged. The flexibility of the MOBITRON teams allowed us to acquire the knowledge to implement an efficient system to the benefit of all stakeholders in the project. 16 Cargolog Vehicle Safety System Collisions involving forklifts are common accidents that not only cause damage to the forklifts, but also harm to people and the environment. To help reduce collisions and damage-related costs, as well as create a safer work environment, the Cargolog Vehicle Safety System is installed onto your forklifts to control access, monitor usage and detect impacts. The Cargolog Vehicle Safety System can be used in both major and minor locations. The system is constructed completely separately and independently of the label on the vehicle, and is easy to assemble. Whatever your needs, our system is designed to be used independently, and for this reason, it is easy to install on already existing vehicles. Should you update or change model, you can easily move the system to your new vehicle. How it works Collision forces are recorded in three different directions, X-Y-Z. When your vehicle is subjected to a shock or collision that exceeds the alarm level you have chosen to use, it activates an audible and/or visual alarm, thus alerting those nearby that an impact has occurred. The vehicle can then be checked over to ensure that it is safe to operate. Before operating the vehicle again, a report needs to be filled in to reset the alarm. This is done directly in our web based cloud service, Cargolog Online. At the same time as the collision occurs, an alarm is sent by to the management with information about the collision and can be viewed in our web based cloud service, Cargolog Online. The collision can then be linked to the report written by the driver, and used to prevent more events that can cause damage to the environment or to your forklifts. In addition to the collision sensor, you can choose to equip your warehouse vehicle with an integrated GPS, allowing you to locate the exact position where the incident occurred. A card or RFID reader can also be installed, allowing a personal login with integrated measurement of the operating hours, as well as a function that ensures compliance with the daily inspection step. Furthermore, warning signals in the form of audible or light signals can be used, and as they are linked to the personal login, drivers will be immediately notified when the alarm level has been exceeded. All your forklifts, and the individual information for each one, can then be viewed and analyzed in Cargolog Online, giving you a full Fleet Management System. 16

19 Make sure that your vehicles are only operated by competent drivers with proper training. With personal login as an option, you can restrict the use of your trucks. With a card or RFID-reader, you can control the authorization that is required to start your forklifts. All the administration to implement such restrictions is done directly from the cloud service, Cargolog Online. Only those drivers with the proper training will receive permission to start and use the vehicle. Cargolog Vehicle Safety System knows exactly who is operating your vehicle at all times and whether your vehicle has been subjected to a shock and how serious it was. You get all the statistics for your vehicles from one place. In Cargolog Online, all vehicles are listed together with the category level for the training required in order to start the vehicle. Drivers are registered with the training level that they possess and thereafter, the authorization to start the vehicle is sent directly from Cargolog Online. The system looks at the permissions to use the vehicle, as well as the training level the driver possesses, which means that you do not risk giving a driver authorization to the wrong vehicle. Since each authorization is set individually for each vehicle and driver, you can adjust it for different departments or facilities. Daily inspection Also included with personal login is a function to ensure the daily inspection step is followed, which reduces the risk of damage. Your driver is requested to conduct this inspection and the system demands that the driver approves and confirms that the inspection has been carried out according to the vehicle s inspection logbook before the vehicle can be started. The system logs the time and date, as well as who performed the daily inspection. Integrated registration of the operating hours With integrated registration of the vehicle s operating hours, you can optimize the number of vehicles at your company and compare vehicles in different departments and facilities. The operating hours are only recorded when your vehicle is in use and you can use the information, for example, to allocate the use. Warning signal When your vehicle is equipped with a collision sensor, you can also connect an audible or visible warning signal that will be activated when alarm levels are exceeded. This indicates a collision immediately and shows your drivers and the surrounding that there has been an incident. To reset the warning signal, you can choose to do so from Cargolog Online or directly on the vehicle, by using a reset alarm card, which is delivered together with your personal login. When a reset is selected via Cargolog Online, the driver logs in to Cargolog Online using the same card or RFID tag used to start the vehicle and answers the questions set up in Cargolog Online. This is done immediately when the incident occurs. All incidents reported are stored in Cargolog Online and can be used for further analysis in the company. As a result of using a warning signal you can change and improve the driving behavior of your drivers, as well as warn those in the vicinity that an incident has occurred and thus, prevent anyone from being injured. 19

23 Why calibration of your measuring instruments is important Every Cargolog Impact Recorder supplied by Mobitron AB is delivered with a calibration document to show that it has been tested and calibrated in accordance with references that have been approved by SP, Technical Research Institute of Sweden. The accuracy of all measuring devices degrades over time. This is typically caused by normal use. Hidden costs and risks associated with the un-calibrated impact recorder could be much higher than the cost of calibration. Therefore, it is recommended that the measuring instruments are calibrated regularly, within 24 months in order to maintain their high reliability. 23
