OUR EXPERIENCE IS YOUR POWER

THE TELESCOPIC FORK Besides the wide set of telescopic forks in single, double and triple depth versions, our company developed and produces several typologies of accessory devices, to be used in addition to the telescopic forks to back up their operation - or in some cases to handle the load units autonomously. These products go under the name of combined, since they re designed to operate along with other devices, with the precise task of improving their functional capacity or filling some technical gaps. The family of combined products includes: the Lifters, with gears or chain transmission (to lift the load unit in case the shuttle provides no lift movement), the Conveyor Belt Systems (with single or double depth), the Pusher/Pullers (in case the unit load needs no lift movement), the Three-Sided Systems (to take away and lay down pallets with a tilt range of 180 ), the Finger (to handle metal or plastic boxes), the Crab (to handle cardboard boxes in single depth) and the Spider (to handle cardboard boxes in double depth). Since the combined products are specifically produced according to customer s needs, to back up other devices such as telescopic forks, they have no specific codification. Hence, there are no standard combined products. Also special products are available, such as telescopic forks for clean rooms (with plastic moving parts that need no lubrication and release no fine dust) and teleforks for freeze rooms or foundries (made of specific steel and components that tolerate extreme temperatures with no consequence on their structure).

CHAIN LIFT GEAR LIFT (up to Kg) GEAR LIFT (up to Kg) BELT ADJUSTABLE INTERAXIS LHD TRANSFER CRAB SPIDER THREE-SIDED FINGER CLEAN ROOM TABLE OF CONTENTS

LIFTING STROKE LS LOAD Q (KG) L LENGTH CHAIN LIFT Being normally employed onboard a shuttle or an AGV, this equipment allows the fork group to get the load released in the picking phase. Usually the standard lifting height is 100 mm; nevertheless, it s possible to adjust it according LP MIN HEIGHT MAX HEIGHT UP to the customer s needs. The lifting is operated through a conveniently powered leverage system and roll chains with tensioners. This equipment is more powerful than precise, and it s fit for applications that need high repeatability and frequent work cycles rather than a great precision of the movement. Because of its chain transmission, it s more affordable as for the price, but it requires more maintenance than the gear lift. 4

GEAR LIFT (up to kg) In the sector of linear movement an additional lifting axis (Z-axis) sometimes in addition to the normal horizontal stroke of the telescopic forks is needed. This device consists of a GEAR LIFT that s designed to assure power, precision and reliability to the LIFTING STROKE LS LOAD Q (KG) L LENGTH LP MIN HEIGHT MAX HEIGHT UP fork group in the picking phase. Stability and keeping the coplanarity are the strong point of this equipment. Generally the standard lifting height is 100 mm, but it s possible to adjust it according to the customer s needs. The LIFT is operated through eccentric cams that are runned by induction-hardened gear trains. A benefit of this solution is the great precision, as well as the transmission system that, unlike the CHAIN LIFT, requires no regulations and little maintenance. 5

GEAR LIFT (up to kg) Way more powerful than the Kg LIFT, this equipment can rely on a very solid and though structure that assure great precision and reliability even when picking up heavy and unwieldy loads. LS LIFTING STROKE LOAD Q (KG) L LENGTH MIN HEIGHT MAX HEIGHT LP UP Designed on the basis of highly precise mechanical parameters, this LIFT allows operating with very small tolerances on a remarkably long lifetime. Just like the Kg GEAR LIFT, this equipment is operated through eccentric cams that are runned by an induction-hardened gear train. The Kg GEAR LIFT is particularly fit for applications where high efficiency in work cycles, high repeatability and great precision by picking and dropping are required. 6

BELT Designed for backing up the telescopic forks, the lateral belt conveyor allows moving the loads onboard simultaneously. The fork set can pick up the load from the shelf, and then the BELT can lay it down in the unloading bay with no further need of telescopic stroke. The number of belts can be redoubled, thus making it even more flexible and versatile - it can also handle a double load onboard. Therefore, it s possible to halve the operation time by handling two loads at once. LOAD Q (KG) L LENGTH DISTANCE BETWEEN BELTS WIDTH DB SW The same system can involve chains instead of belts, for handling way bigger loads with the same benefits. 7

ADJUSTABLE INTERAXIS In many automated warehouses, due to productive reasons, the handling of different types of loads (and thus of different containers) may be needed. With a set of forks having fixed interaxis the handling of only one specific kind of loads is allowed. Instead, it s possible to handle different kinds of loads by installing under the fork set an ADJUSTABLE INTERAXIS. It s a relatively simple system that makes the stocking operation more flexible and versatile. A motor operates a system of screws with recirculating balls and prismatic rails; it s possible to shift only one fork, or both of them symmetrically. It s provided as extra equipment; however, it has to be established along with LHD s technical staff, since it s not possible to install it at a later stage. The shift movement RL RAILS LENGTH DISTANCE BETWEEN DBR RAILS DISTANCE BETWEEN DBF FORKS 300 UP TO 3000 of adjusting the interaxis is very quick and it s programmed to occurr in masked time. The ADJUSTABLE INTERAXIS can be applied to all LHD telescopic forks, even to inclined forks designed for handling coils. 8

LHD TRANSFER This is a compound system (telescopic forks + conveyor), designed to implement the handling functionality. With closed forks, the conveyor lifts, allowing to handle the pallet separately. The benefits of this peculiar kind of equipment are: 1) Reduction of the cycle times within the automated warehouse, since it s possible to set down the load in the unloading bay by means of the conveyor without usin the forks; LOAD Q (KG) LENGTH L LIFTING STROKE LS WIDTH TW DISTANCE BETWEEN DBC CHAINS ) Improving the positioning of the load on the shelf, since it s possible to align the load to the forks in masked time, in order to set it down always in the same position. 9

CRAB LOAD Q (KG) L LENGTH S STROKE WIDTH TW DISTANCE BETWEEN DBF FORKS This is an equipment belonging to the latest generation of LHD products. Very simple and operational as for both its mechanical arrangement and its onboard plant design, the CRAB is the best solution for handling plastic boxes or cartons in simple depth. The main feature of the CRAB lies in its speed and in the reliability of its movement. It requires poor maintenance and it s easy to operate. With no moving dragging fingers, it can handle the load very quickly. Simpler than the SPIDER, the CRAB is the perfect solution for simple pick-up warehouses. 10

SPIDER The SPIDER is an interesting latest generation equipment, being lately introduced. The SPIDER can carry out the handling of plastic boxes or cartons about as big as 600x400 mm with 25 Kg weight, in simple or in double depth. In the picking phase, two telescopic arms reach the load on the shelf and, by means of small fingers, drag it onboard the shuttle. Thanks to the belt system onboard, the equipment can handle two boxes at once. With his telescopic arms thickness of only 56 mm, this equipment allows reducing the spaces between the boxes in the cells, thus reducing the width of the whole shelf. Thanks to its particularly light structure, the SPIDER can attain remarkable work speed. Q LOAD (KG) L LENGTH S DISTANCE STROKE WIDTH BETWEEN TW DBF FORKS In comparison with the similar equipments on market, the SPIDER is certainly more performing, slender, and per se simpler. This makes it easy as for maintenance and certainly competitive. 11

LOAD Q (KG) LENGTH SL THREE-SIDED The LHD THREE-SIDED with fixed forks allows handling pallets with only 42 mm fork thickness and a carrying capacity up to 1500 Kg. The rotation and translation speed is as fast as 30m/min. Thanks to this system, the pallets can be set down and picked up even rotated by 90 compared to the normal position in warehouses. The equipment is operated through a pinions and racks transmission. The whole structure is supported by a system of prismatic rails, their size depending on the weight FORKS DISTANCE the equipment is designed for. STROKE LENGTH BETWEEN HEIGHT S1 FL DBF FORKS TH A motor placed on top operates the spinning movement. Both movements of rotation and translation can occur simultaneously in masked time

FINGER This equipment owes its name to two cams ( fingers ) on one or two picking chains that enable the picking. The FINGER allows picking up and setting down in the automated warehouse so-called trays, through appropriately shaped edges on both sides of these containers. The carry capacity of the FINGER with one-chained transmission is as heavy as 100 Kg, whereas the two-chained one attains 300 Kg. LOAD Q (KG) 100 TOTAL LENGTH STROKE L S TL LENGTH W WIDTH TOTAL WIDTH TW It s an efficient equipment that requires little maintenance and it s quite easy to operate. It s very fit for hardware warehouses and anywhere the picking is needed. 13

CLEAN ROOM Our project team has designed and developed this cutting edge equipment that follows the strictest European regulations concerning the handling of loads in clean rooms. This type of telescopic fork is an equipment totally made of anodized aluminium and polymers; it doesn t release any shaving or dust and it s totally wearproof. Its strong point is that it doesn t need any lubrication or maintenance, thus respecting the strictest rules about cleaning and oxidation resistance. The CLEAN ROOM fork is certainly fit for handling loads within the sectors of microelectronic, cosmetics, chemistry, pharmacology, food industry, compound materials and the like. 14
