2 Why use the GIB Delivered to Site Service? Fewer delays On-time delivery and text message alerts provide cost savings through fewer delays and efficient programming. Wellington Delivery Areas Efficient building We will carry within 20 metres of unloading point. Fit for purpose trucks and trained staff are available. Cost savings Free site inspection available to ensure correct services are ordered and that the site is Plasterboard Ready, so you avoid paying for unnecessary services or re-deliveries. Limit your risk If damage occurs, during delivery, we will replace the board at our cost. Avoid on-site injuries by allowing our experienced plasterboard handlers to move the plasterboard. Delivery Solutions Standard Delivery Hiab metres max from vehicle Drop point Hiab One driver and one labourer. Flat deck truck. Hiab can lift to a maximum of 15 metres. Vertical or horizontal lift. GIB plasterboard mechanically lifted or placed to the nearest point of covered placement area. Maximum of 20 metres walk from vehicle to nearest point of covered placement area. 3 Packaging and other services additional costs apply Plasterboard Stretch Wrapping Plastic cover sheet and stretch wrapped sides applied for temporary protection on site. Note: Stretch wrapping a pallet is not a load restraint; it is primarily for temporary protection. The wrap is not designed for ultra violet light protection. Three day lead time. Plasterboard strapping High stretch plastic strapping applied for product restraint on pallets. These restraints are used for delivery of plasterboard by cranes to structures over three levels high. Note: specific weight pallets can be requested e.g. 2 tonne pallets. Strapping of those pallets will be done to the load restraint code. Things to remember At Winstone Wallboards we are always striving to ensure that every site delivery is as smooth, safe and efficient as possible. With Standard deliveries, all costs are included in the DTS price. Site contact must be contactable at least 1 hour before delivery time. DTS delivery services are provided between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. the next working day. Occasionally deliveries are outside these times. Sites must be Plasterboard Ready to receive deliveries otherwise re-delivery charges and delays will be incurred. The DTS price allows for the truck to be on site for up to 2 hours, thereafter an hourly rate applies. The maximum time the GIB delivery truck will wait on site for the customer to get it 'Plasterboard Ready' is 30 minutes. DTS pallets are normally removed from site at time of delivery. Returnable DTS pallets left onsite are charged. To receive the pallet refund, return to the merchant or request collection. A collection charge per pick up applies. 4 Text Alert Services We offer a text service in addition to our current communication channels. This service is provided through the following communication process. Building merchant places Tradeperson's DTS order with GIB Contact Centre Is there a mobile number for the site contact? 5 Making ordering easy 01. Full contact details must be provided Name Phone number address Site address (in new subdivisions the lot and street number are required). Site contact (must be contactable 1 hour before delivery) 02. Order details Your specific Winstone Wallboards customer number, if known. Purchase order/reference number Delivery date Delivery type Is a site check required Health and safety requirements Specific delivery times on-site and brief reason why. 03. Health and Safety requirements Is an induction required on site prior to delivery? Are site safe passports required? Are hard hats required? Are there any specific traffic management plans that we need to be aware of? 04. Is the site Plasterboard Ready? Clear access to the site and a cleared accessible and covered area to place the plasterboard. See details in the GIB Is your site Plasterboard Ready brochure. If in doubt, request a free site inspection. 05. Order deadline For Standard Deliveries, order before the cut-off times on the day for next day delivery. Site inspections require 2 days' notice prior to the delivery date. WINSTONE WALLBOARDS HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS Winstone Wallboards delivery staff are not permitted to make changes to the site (eg, remove scaffolding, remove nogs or balustrades, move debris). Strapping of plasterboard during transport and unloading will be done to the load restraint code. Working at height: If labourers are exposed to an edge at height they will need to be restrained with a harness. This could result in extra men required outside the normal extra labour service. 6 Is your site 'Plasterboard Ready'? KEY THINGS TO ENSURE A TROUBLE-FREE DELIVERY, FIRST TIME Clear and unobstructed access. (e.g. building waste, waste bin and scaffolding need to be removed, create a safe walkway/steps if necessary) Clean, clear, dry and obstacle free area to store plasterboard (e.g. building is weather proof) Site address is clearly visible Site contact person or mobile number is available Height of door entry at a minimum of 2 metres Standard plasterboard deliveries cover 20 metres drop off. The 20 metres are measured from middle of the truck to the entry/drop point. In situations where this is not the case there may be delivery delays or the potential for re-delivery charges. If in doubt, request a free pre-site inspection at the time of placing your plasterboard order with your merchant. 7 COMMON HAZARD AREAS Poor housekeeping increases the risk of injuries, building waste or scaffolding need to be removed before the plasterboard is delivered. No clear access to site and building Waste and waste bins blocking entry ways Scaffolding obstructing the building access; Minimum height of entry door is 2 metres. MIN HEIGHT 2M RE-DELIVERY CHARGES OF FAILED DELIVERIES AND RE-SCHEDULING Providing the necessary information when placing your order will help avoid re-delivery, re-delivery costs and subsequent delays. If in doubt, request a free site inspection. If a DTS team is presented with a hazardous site that is not deemed plasterboard ready, the incorrect delivery type is ordered by the customer, or wet weather prevents delivery, the order will be returned to Winstone Wallboards and re-scheduled for delivery at the next available time. Re-delivery of orders will be at an extra cost to the customer. 8 MyGIB Digital Ordering Tool Ordering your GIB plasterboard has just got a whole lot easier thanks to the new MyGIB ordering tool, which reduces the chance of errors and saves time and money. The ordering process is simple and intuitive, and orders can be entered and sent directly from the building site. MyGIB also stores past and current orders and keeps track of changes to submitted orders. The MyGIB ordering tool is available on mobile and tablet from the GIB App. Alternatively, you can access it from your desktop on mygib.gib.co.nz DOWNLOAD TODAY.
