4 Kaman AC&E History AC&E is a new and unique enterprise built on the foundations of three highly respected organizations: Kaman Industrial Technologies, Zeller Corporation and Minarik Corporation. Separately, each company holds leadership positions in their markets; together as AC&E, we are well positioned to help bring North American manufacturing, processing and infrastructure back to a leading role in the global economy. About Kaman Since its founding in 1945, Kaman Corporation has grown to become a world-leading innovator in the aviation industry and one of North America s largest industrial distributors and systems consultants. The company, publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (KAMN) features two operating units. Kaman Aerospace produces proprietary aircraft components and systems and provides design engineering, support, analysis and certification services to the aerospace industry. Kaman Distribution is one of North America s leading distributors of power transmission, motion control and fluid power products, offering best-in-class brands and value-priced components along with fully integrated engineered solutions. Kaman Distribution has three product platforms: Bearings & Power Transmission; Fluid Power; and Automation, Control & Energy AC&E. About Minarik Since its founding in 1954 as a motor distributor and repair station, Minarik has added associated product lines and distribution capabilities ideal for a wide range of automation and control applications, making it the only motion control distributor with a nationwide footprint. As part of its evolution, Minarik developed custom engineering capabilities to help customers enhance their manufacturing processes with intelligent product integration and value-focused design engineering. Recognizing the value inherent in the company s product and service offerings, extensive engineering expertise and national footprint, Kaman acquired Minarik in About Zeller Founded in 1961 as a general line electrical distributor, Zeller became an early adopter of programmable logic controllers for automated control applications, and began partnering with its customers to develop and implement scalable solutions for their automation controls challenges. Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, Zeller developed exceptional expertise in motion control, machine vision inspection, process control and power distribution. Kaman acquired Zeller in 2012 to combine its expertise with Minarik s extensive and complementary proficiencies, which has led to the development of Kaman s Automation, Control & Energy platform. 4
