If you have more than a full trailer, you will need to create one bill of lading for each, but do not, under any circumstances, create more than one bill of lading for a single pickup The bill of lading must include Shipper s Name and Address Brand (Lane Bryant or Catherines) c/o Ascena Retail Group and warehouse address. 14 The Third Party Bill to address is: Purchase Order Number Department Number Style Number Total Weight Reweigh Charges Ascena Retail Group c/o Unyson PO BOX 7047 Downers Grove, IL If your shipment is inaccurately weighed, it is subject to being re-weighed by the carrier which could result in an additional charge. Re-weigh may also delay delivery Enter the correct weight of your shipment. If multiple products are being shipped, list the weight of each product separately Any additional charges incurred as a result of the wrong weight on a B.O.L will be the sole responsibility of the shipper Freight Dimensions The vendor needs to make sure that the dimensions of the freight are on the BOL. This is to protect the vendor and Ascena from W&I fees that are not just. It will allow us to dispute charges with justification When determining the dimensions of your shipment, be sure to measure the longest sides including any packaging, overhangs or protrusions. Once density is calculated, you can then figure out the class In cases where the shipment is palletized, the dimensions of the pallet determine the cubic dimensions. You will need to add the Height of the Pallet, also the Length and Width if the pallet extends past the boxes Label length, width and height measurements of the shipment on the BOL. If multiple products are being shipped with different dimensions, list the measurement of each separately. 14

15 How to measure a Palletized shipment How to measure a Carton Classifying Freight It is critical that you know the correct Freight Class in order to receive accurate freight charges and to ensure that the carrier does not re-class your shipment, which could result in a higher shipping charge Any additional charges incurred as a result of the wrong CLASS on a B.O.L will be the sole responsibility of the shipper Use the density calculator and Sub chart given to properly class freight. Open the attached Excel spreadsheet below and follow directions *Save the Density Calculator to your desktop for easy access.* Density Calculator.xls Do not use NMFC numbers on B.O.L. 15

16 The presence of National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) numbers on B.O.L. provides no benefits to the shipper or consignee and, as such, should be omitted Any additional charges incurred as a result of an NMFC number s inclusion on a B.O.L will be sole responsibility of the shipper The following message should appear on your bill of lading: Carrier cancel date is, Must be delivered by cancel date. Appointments are required 48 hours in advance Example of bill of lading (This is available in a full and editable format in the Unyson BOL Creation SOP on the Routing Portal): 16
