32 Proposed System Systems Engineering All recommendations/changes will be documented throughout the project A spreadsheet will be updated periodically Date Change Requested Requested By Location Affected Final Decision 02/15/08 Due to funding constraints, fiber optic cable will no longer be used as the communication for each device. All devices will communicate to the TMC by T1 drops leased by a telecommunications company that is to be determined. ODOT Central Office All routes within the proposed freeway management system. All fiber optic cable will be removed. 02/18/08 Integrate the existing traffic signal systems into the freeway management system so that it can all be viewed and controlled from the TMC. ODOT District 2 Traffic Signal Systems within the project area. Signal system will be integrated into the freeway management system.
