Sattlethight Manager, Statistical Programs Summary of Aluminum Producer Net Shipments 1 February 2019 Aluminum net shipments (including exports) by domestic U.S. and Canadian facilities totaled an estimated 1,978 million pounds during February, a decrease of six-tenths of one percent from the February 2018 total of 1,989 million pounds. Shipments of aluminum mill products rose nine-tenths of one percent over the previous year to 1,315 million pounds, while shipments of aluminum ingot for castings, exports and destructive uses fell 3.3 percent year-over-year, totaling 663 million pounds. Through the first two months of 2019, preliminary producer shipments totaled an estimated 4,092 million pounds, an increase of seven-tenths of one percent over the like total of 4,065. February inventory levels totaled an estimated 3,530 million pounds, a decline of 2.4 percent over the previous month but up 11.5 percent year-over-year.
