2 Why NAP? Need: To ensure compatibility between the systems of different road managers for the exchange of road data Objective: Providing reliable travel information to travelers on all roads in Poland, as well as in selected European Union countries. Legal basis: Obligation imposed on Poland - compliance with the provisions of delegated acts No. 885/2013, 886/2013 and 2015/962 to the Directive no. 2010/40 / EC, so-called ITS Directive, regarding providing real-time traffic information to road users

3 Defined challenges The situation before the implementation of the NAP - data on traffic conditions in the same area - coming from various sources: Interactive map of difficulties on Bydgoszcz voivodship roads network Interactive map of difficulties on GDDKiA network

4 Areas of ITS activities in GDDKiA GDDKiA is working on the development of ITS systems in the following areas: IT systems enabling directly dynamic traffic and event management (e. g. the National Traffic Management System) IT systems supporting the above activities (e. g. the National Access Point project) which corresponds to the implementation of individual ITS services, among others: - Weather information - Information about the road network - Information on traffic conditions and travel times - Area and corridor traffic management - Dynamic determination of detours - Intelligent and secure parking places

10 Support for NAP users Road managers Media GDDKiA will provide support for users in cooperation with KPD, including through training, submitting documentation to necessary modifications in the systems of road managers, including Instruction for Data Providers and Data Recipients Services Information providers for drivers

11 Cooperation with NAP stakeholders Members of the meeting: voivodeship road managers, urban road managers, toll motorway concessionaires, representatives of companies providing information services for drivers, Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, Ministry of Infrastructure, Association of Polish Counties. The meeting with the NAP beneficiaires (3 march 2017)
