Is it accurate? - YES!! Trimble dgps: m RTK:1 2 cm Standalone GPS: 5 10 m

Site Controller System (SCS900) Stake Roadway Features Apply horizontal and vertical offsets and project the slope of the road surface onto the stake Have the complete road model on the controller and stake any feature on any station with any offset Location on Road Surface and Basic Feature Modes Station, Offset, C/F everywhere on the road

Grade Control Systems (GCS) Design information at your finger tips Site plan, design surfaces, grades and alignments inside the cab Eliminate rework Reduce the need for stakes, hubs or string lines Reduce time to complete the task Documented more than 30% time savings over conventional methods* C t l t i l Control your material usage *Documented 60% less base material usage

The Production Study The production study consisted in measuring the time for all different operations, the number of passes, buckets or truckloads, fuel consumption and accuracies to compare the two methods. To ensure consistency, the two roads were built in the same area close together and used the same materials. The same machine models, the same machine operators were used and operations took place with the same weather conditions. The results of the productivity study are as follows: Better than those commonly announced on Machine Control & Guidance products through customers testimonial or advertisements.

Subgrade Checking Conventional Way Design: SouthRoad Equipment: Trimble SCS900 software New Way Trimble Design: NorthRoad Equipment: Trimble SCS900 software Three points every 5 m were surveyed on the carriageway. A tolerance of 3 cm was applied Three points every 5 m were surveyed on the carriageway. A tolerance of 3 cm was applied

Conventional Way New Way Trimble Productivity Gain Staking Bulk Earthmoving 07:31 00:54 6:37 hours saved D6N 04:40 04:18 +9% 330D 02:23 01: % Subgrade D6N 03:48 01: % grading 330D 02:56 02:43 + 8% Base Course grading Base course fine grading D6N 02:24 00: % 140H 01: % Total 24:32 11: %

Fuel Consumption Conventional Way New Way Trimble Design: SouthRoad Design: NorthRoad D D6N 140H D D6N 140H 463 $ 2.15/gallon = $ /gallon = $ gallons $2.15/gallon = $ A 43% Fuel Savings

Conclusion The above results confirm that machine control and guidance has revolutionized the construction industry by making it possible for jobs to be completed more quickly, at lower cost and with the highest degree of accuracy. Overall time for building the road was 3½ days vs. 1½ with Trimble Increase in overall job site productivity on 101% Higher and more consistent accuracy 43% fuel saving

Compaction Control Systems (CCS) More efficient compaction operations The right number of passes (No more, no less) Reduced fuel, labor and machine costs Early detection of soft spots Prior to importing material & during fill operations Fix it before it becomes a problem More consistent t compaction results Higher pass rates on inspections Equals less re-work Archiving of data For warranty documentation Evidence of good practice

Contractor Benefits Estimated an overall production increase and cost savings Fuel savings by eliminating unnecessary passes Avoid over compaction of areas already meeting specs Achieved uniform compaction over the entire site Heightened engagement level from the operator Immediate identification of problem areas substantially reducing re-work

Paving Control Systems (PCS) Trimble PCS400 helps you achieve road specifications with minimal costs while maximizing bonuses The system helps you: 1. Achieve minimal asphalt thickness with the least amount of asphalt 2. Achieve target smoothness, so you can make your bonus 3. Finish on time, so you can prevent penalties

1. PCS400 helps achieve minimal asphalt thickness with the least amount of asphalt Combine 3D base surface control and 2D paving for highest road quality and minimal asphalt usage Create a 3D base surface below the asphalt 3D Motor grader (new roads) 3D Milling Machine (reprofiling) Use PCS400 to lay the asphalt

1. PCS400 helps achieve minimal asphalt thickness with the least amount of asphalt Example one job: Asphalt thickness specified (assuming ¼ tolerance) +¼ -¼ Tolerance achieved by Trimble +1/8-1/8 1/8 (3mm) of asphalt savings (4% on 3 (75mm) lift) Minimal required asphalt thickness

2. PCS400 Helps Achieve Target Smoothness Trimble PCS400 Other Systems Result Result Averaging beam technology benefits: - Lays the finish surface at an accuracy of 1/100 (3mm) - Achieves smoothness and accuracy up to the finish surface Other Systems: - Require bulky 10-20m (30-60 ) mechanical skis

Fleet Management S Systems (TCM) Trimble Construction Manager. Managing Mobile Assets Managing g Portable Assets Managing Personnel Assets

Improve Asset Productivity Improve cycle times by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies. Get data needed to maximize your assets and to make more informed decisions. Reduce overtime and improve employee productivity.

Improve Site Safety Monitor and document asset usage and driving safety as well as worker compliance. Receive notification when an asset enters a hazardous site. Archive data for future reference if needed.
