6 NAME OF ASSIGNMENT/PROJECT: DRAFT DURBAN BACK OF PORT LOCAL AREA PLAN STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT. ethekwini Municipality MAIN PROJECT FEATURES: ethekwini Municipality developed the Plan which proposes changes to the future land use and zoning in the Back of Port area between the existing Port of Durban and the proposed new dig-out Port in the Durban South Basin. The Plan accommodates and plans for the existing and expected market related pressures on the Durban South Basin.
