3 T Design to Delivery Introduction Glazpart today is a unique business having evolved since its registration in February 1985 into a diverse injection moulding and surface finishing business. We utilise the latest technology to deliver a diverse range of injection moulded plastic products and services. We have developed a unique One stop shop offering the complete plastic parts service from product and tooling design, tooling manufacture and injection moulding capability. Right through to surface decoration, component assembly then bar coding and labelling, if required. Consistently, when our customers visit our factory the feedback is we never knew you could do that..! 5 T Product Design Glazpart s services start with our technical and engineering teams. Here, we support customers in the design, development and production of your concepts and ideas. The team assist in ensuring products meet your design and performance criteria whilst optimising production costs at the quality level you need. To that end, Glazpart have invested heavily in the latest CAD/CAM software giving us an in house design facility with 2D and 3D software packages to ensure responsiveness, adaptability and accuracy. Our expertise extends well beyond our proprietary product ranges into the design of custom products. Recent projects have seen our engineers replace costly metal components with engineered injection moulded replacements saving our customers thousands of pounds a month. 7 T Tool Design and Manufacture Here is one of the great benefits of working with the Glazpart team. Our engineer s work with your designers and engineers to optimise design, prototype then manufacture the injection mould tooling. Therefore we have total control throughout this complex process, utilising either our in house tool room provided by our sister company Hanley Precision Tools or from a select group of sub-contractors around he world all working to Glazpart s exacting production standards. 9 T Injection Moulding Once tooling is available either manufactured or transferred. Glazpart offer a state of the art all electric. Injection Moulding capability. This is provided from a range of more traditional and state of the art injection moulding machines from manufacturers such as BOY, NETSTAL and ENGEL. All are monitored continuously shot by shot to maximise product quality and production efficiency. Quality Glazpart are proud of our fully automated ISO rated quality management system. 13 T Injection Moulding Clean Room This facility adds another string to the bow for Glazpart customers. Injection moulding is offered from within a Class 10,000 environment. Inside this clean environment dedicated machines operate with automatic and robotic handling machines and a dedicated computerised quality machine. FM 10024

17 T Real Time Production All our machines are linked 24/7 to our production scheduling system. This allows for quick machine changes as your customer s demands change. Our raw materials are fed directly to the machines where they are closely monitored in real time. Then as your product passes through our factory it is bar coded and tracked at each stage from raw material and moulding through to booking out for shipment. This provides for full traceability, indeed our customers can even monitor progress of their products and stock levels on line using our web direct system. 19 T Surface Finishing This is where the Glazparts services can add significant value to your products and reduce costs as all your surface finishing needs are met, all under one roof! Rationalise your supply chain with our one stop shop. No longer the need for several suppliers, inter supplier shipping costs and extended lead times so you have your products in stock so you can sell then, just order the finished product, and all on one invoice! Spraying We offer a complete spraying service on many materials, not just plastic. We however have as you would expect expertise in the spraying of plastics as well as some specialist processes which include; RFI Here we prepare and apply paint systems of complex geometry products to deliver EMI / RFI shielding. In our increasingly electronic world EMI and RFI can cause suppression of signals in electronic devices, interference with equipment operation, or emissions generated that will interfere with equipment operation. With waves and signals floating through the air, EMI and RFI are potential problems in any industry. (Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)) Decorative Effects Cast Iron Here, with the specialist application process developed by Glazpart we make plastic rain water systems look like a traditional cast iron systems. This provides more cost effective products to the construction market. Plastic Profile systems Here, as colour becomes more prevalent for ever more decerning customers the need for colour increases. However, the cost effectiveness of stripping down extrusion machines is costly. So, you can extrude in a single colour to maximise extruder efficiency with the confidence that Glazpart can deliver the right colour for you. Example, plastic roof line and cladding systems. 21 T Printing We have a diverse range of printing processes to match your product needs. These include screen printing, hot foiling and our specialist process s outlined below. These specialist processes include; Aqua Printing This process allows for the coverage of complex 3D geometry components with any one of 500 standard finishes. In addition we develop unique patterns to meet individual design needs. The process can be applied not only to plastic, but other substrates include cast aluminium, ferrous metals and just about any substrate! If the item can be dipped in water, then the Aqua printing process can be potentially applied. As can be seen opposite, mill aluminium castings now look like timber? PAD (Tampo) Printing Here, we can transfer a two dimensional image onto a three dimensional object. This process uses an offset (gravure) process involving an image being transferred from an engraved plate onto a silicone pad to print on a substrate. Pad printing is used for printing difficult to print upon products in many industries which include medical, automotive, promotional and electronic objects. Rotational printing This new process allows for high accuracy printing of highly detailed, low tolerance designs onto circular or tubular substrates, extrusions or mouldings. FM 10024

23 T Vacuum Foiling Over the last 10 years Glazpart has developed a reputation as the highest quality supplier of vacuum foiled surface finishing in the UK. Today, following significant investment we now have the highest production capability in the UK with our uniquely designed and in house built machines. Applications include; Roof line We offer the complete foil ranges to match your needs for roof line internal and external foiled joints, corners (900, 1350). Decking systems We work with market leaders in this field across Europe in a diverse range of foils and applications including post caps, legs and hand rail brackets. Conservatory components Many leading conservatory manufacturers work closely with Glazpart to supply foil matched components to add that final finishing touch to your conservatory, including finials and even rainwater gutters! Window system components Some of the largest window systems companies in the UK rely on vacuum foiling from Glazpart. That final touch of foil matched components adds value to their system designs. Made to the highest quality standards These product ranges are presented in smaller pack sizes ideal for today s busy installers. 29 T Trickle Ventilators The Glazpart range of trickle ventilator is growing rapidly. Designed to meet the requirements of the building regulations Part F : 2010 (England and Wales). Due to the development of the range please review our tricklevent technical literature at /products The range includes: Both screw and clip fixed ranges. What colour do you want? 35 T Glazpart Environment and the Community Glazpart is proud to continually take its responsibilities for the environment and local community seriously. We on an ongoing basis try to make a difference. Recent projects include the following examples; Environment Production waste is now further reduced with additional grinding machines on site now recycling PVC waste for reuse. Warehouse lighting senses activity levels and when not required power use drops to 25%. Packaging is being reduced where ever possible or recycled to avoid landfill. Our recent capital investment strategy of over 1,000,000 is focused upon the introduction of the latest most cost effective and energy efficient machines.
