3 DANGEROUS GOODS REGULATIONS The dangerous goods regulations is designed to equip people in the transportation industry with the knowledge of how to transport dangerous goods safely, with reference to IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation manual. This is a DCA regulated program. METHODOLOGY This program includes classroom lectures, group discussions, video shows, case study and group presentations and other activities to provide high impact learning. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES At the end of this program, participants will be able to identify and classify the nine classes, pack, mark and label DG correctly, prepare the necessary documentation and apply the country and airline regulations accordingly PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Explain the basis of the Regulations Outline Shippers and Operators responsibility and training requirements Ascertain that certain Dangerous Goods are forbidden and some are restricted for air transport Apply the State and Operator variations Identify the 9 classes of dangerous goods and apply the principles of packing groups Outline the method used by Shippers to classify dangerous goods Identify the class and quantity limit per package of dangerous goods Apply the packing requirements Mark and label packages Complete the Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods and the Airwaybill Accept, handle and load dangerous goods Apply the general emergency procedures in the event of a dangerous goods accident or incident All level staff in operational level who deal in logistic and transportation of goods for the company such as Freight Forwarders, Shippers, Airline personnel and ground handling agents PROGRAM DATE Feb, Mar (PEN), Apr, May, Jun (PEN), Aug, Sep, Oct (PEN) and Nov Days RM1950 per participant
4 DANGEROUS GOODS REGULATIONS REFRESHER This program revisits the elements learned during the Dangerous Good Regulations courses. ICAO requirements make it mandatory that this program be attended at least every 24months by those who have already completed the Dangerous Goods Regulations course. It is mandatory requirement for all personnel holding a certificate.. METHODOLOGY This program includes classroom lectures, group discussions, video shows, case study and group presentations and other activities to provide high impact learning.
