1 This message guide describes the necessary information in the daily call off message, which are transfered from factories of the Volkswagen AG by EDI, in following details. 1. 2 1. Function and Intention Of the Daily Call Off EDIFACT DELFOR (FAB) Volkswagen and Audi send the EDIFACT message DELFOR (FAB) as an alternative to the daily call-off in VDA 4915 format. As in VDA 4915 the DELFOR (FAB) is used as a standard delivery instruction with cumulative receipts and as a delivery preview with cumulative requirements in the JiT process. Rules and regulations DELFOR (FAB) is used for daily call-offs for european plants of marque Audi, VW Commercial Vehicles and Volkswagen (without VW-Pamplona) from IVZ Wolfsburg (Station-ID = R11) Daily call-offs are currently not used for spare parts (OT) or for disposition plant identifier = KE with destination plant 14 (Kassel) and 21 (Ingolstadt). DELFOR (FAB) is used for daily call-offs for the Skoda marque from the IVZ Skoda (Station-ID R3A). The DELFOR (FAB) file names are DUC.KEYsid.DELFORFA.VW (daily calls VW), DUC.KEYsid.DELFORFA.AU (daily calls Audi) DUC.KEYsid.DELFORFA.GY (daily calls Audi Györ), DELFORF.SKODA (VW daily call-offs, IVZ Skoda), in which sid represents the variable for suppliers station ID (data receiver). The data file names for daily call offs may be differentiated by changing the last letters, for example DUC.KEYsid.DELFORFA.VW / DUC.KEYsid.DELFORFA.VW1, if the data are to be sent to the same computer station at the supplier location - as defined by the station ID/ODETTE ID - but the files have to be separated by supplier code or supplier plant. The definition from Volkswagen / Audi / Skoda / Seat for the VW daily call-off EDIFACT-DELFOR D97A is based on the EDIFACT Odette subset DELINS V4 R1. Its structure is identical to the EDIFACT delivery instruction from VW. The daily call-off differs from the delivery instruction only by the addition of a planning period for the daily call-off. We pursued the aim of minimising the implementation cost for the optional (!) daily call-off. Before implementation, recipients should check whether their EDI system's existing conversion routines for the VW delivery instruction may be used without modification. The daily call-off data have priority over the delivery instruction. Delivery instructions cannot overwrite the requirement figures and times of a daily call-off within the daily call-off planning period. The EDIFACT daily call off is transmitted in the message type DELFOR. The daily call off is sent with a separat file name and message code 242. In the JiT process (Just in Time) at Volkswagen / Audi / Skoda modules and assemblies are delivered in sequence of production to the vehicle assembly line.
