4 The correct solution for each application EC-S-MB EC-M-Series HC-Series With a capacity of up to 130 weighings per minute this checkweigher is the one to be used as a starting and basic model for simple and uncomplicated automatic weighing. High accuracy and the rejection of packages of incorrect weight from the production flow as well as the recording of every weighing are all offered by the basic unit. As an option the production data is printed out directly by a thermal printer or issued to a mobile data carrier by means of a chip card (smart file system). s y s t e m ComScaleNT The EC-M is recommended for the more demanding monitoring, regulation and control tasks: e.g. monitoring of the current actual weight with feedback to a filling system installed upstream of the weighing unit, testing the completeness of the containers, sorting or classification at medium and higher belt speeds. 7 Wipotec Weigh Cells - exceptional in precision and speed Electro Magnetic Force Restoration (EMFR) Technically mature and much superior to traditional systems, the Wipotec Weigh Cells which are used are a guarantee of the highest accuracy and production speeds. They are based on the principle of Electro Magnetic Force Restoration. The basic principle can be compared with a simple beam balance. On one side of the weighing beam (coil arm) is the weight which causes the coil attached to the other side of the weighing beam to want to move out of the magnetic field. An optical detection system sees every - even very minimum - variation and reports this to a high-precision position controller, which regulates the coil current so that the weighing beam remains in equilibrium. This all takes place within milliseconds so that the maximum deviation is just a few nanometers. The force caused by the placed-on weight is thus compensated for by the coil current. The strength of the current is thereby pro portional to the weight. The force-proportional current is measured by a resistor, converted to a digital signal by an analog-to-digital converter and then further processed in a signal-processor system for direct output as a digital weight value.
