2 INTRODUCING MYMSC Our new secure online portal, mymsc, provides 24/7 access to real-time information, enabling you to manage your freight with ease. With the new SOLAS VGM law being implemented on the 1 st of July 2016, mymsc will provide you with a quick and efficient online solution to submitting VGM details. 3 THE BIGGER PICTURE This new tool forms part of an ongoing global initiative to provide our customers with greater visibility of shipments, allowing access to documentation and operational information. In addition to VGM submission, mymsc is a secure portal designed to provide customers with access to documentation, shipment information and ecommerce offerings such as Bookings and Shipping Instructions. 4 GETTING STARTED

5 LOG IN Accessing the portal is simple. You can register for the application in two ways: Visit msc.com and click on mymsc from the main menu. Connect directly to the portal here: Select Register - New User Enter the Verification code Copyright MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. 5

6 REGISTER To Register for mymsc, please complete the following steps; Enter your company contact details including your name and address Select which MSC offices you wish to register with or select VGM only Read the Privacy Policy. 9 SOLAS VGM mymsc provides you with access to: Submit VGM Upload Verified Gross Mass declaration form for a specific Booking or Bill of Lading number. VGM Submission History Search and view previous VGM declaration details. Container Tare Weight Search Search for a specific container tare weight. Submit Bulk VGM To submit VGM in bulk. 10 SOLAS VGM SUBMIT VGM INSTRUCTIONS To submit VGM details follow these simple steps: Search for booking Fill in the party details Confirm weighing method. Upload your weight instructions. 12 SOLAS VGM SUBMIT VGM INSTRUCTIONS Once you have completed the excel spreadsheet, you can upload this to the website by clicking Upload Excel option. You can upload additional supporting documents by clicking on the green icon with the arrow. Once uploaded check the details have pulled through correctly then click Submit. 15 SOLAS VGM SUBMIT VGM IN BULK Through this feature, VGM details can be uploaded for multiple Booking/BLs. Similar to the feature in SUBMIT VGM INSTRUCTION, the template needs to be downloaded, the relevant data needs to be entered in the File, save the file in the local machine and upload the file through the button Upload Excel. 17 DOCUMENTS Within mymsc you can access: Arrival Notice You will be able to access documents for the company/ies your user profile is associated with. Non Neg Bill of Lading Search and view final copy Bill of Lading. Booking Confirmation Search and view booking confirmations. Invoice View a particular invoice or all issued invoices under a Bill of Lading. NVOCC AMS Declaration Shows submitted AMS details. AES Declaration Shows submitted AES details. 28 TRACKING mymsc enables you 24/7 access to tracking information. Bill of Lading Container Status Track and trace shipments. Vessel Port Information Search all vessel arrivals and departures for a particular port. Empty Depot Return Location Shows the depot or terminal were the empty container is to be returned for merchant own haulage. Information relevant only to appropriate countries. 31 TRACKING VESSEL PORT INFORMATION To search for vessel port information enter the applicable POL/POD Import / Export the relevant start date and how many weeks the information is required, then click Retrieve. 32 VESSEL mymsc provides access to vessel information: Cut-off By Booking Vessel cut off time for specific booking. Exchange Rate Request rates of exchange based on vessel or Bill of Lading number. Shipping Instruction Create and submit Shipping Instructions once bookings have been confirmed. Draft BL Edit and approve the Draft BL directly online. 41 EBOOKING To create an ebooking below 4 mandatory details need to be entered in the following tabs Header Intermodal Details (if applicable) Container/ Cargo Schedule Navigation for ebooking is ecommerce ebooking Copyright MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. 41

42 EBOOKING - HEADER Enter the details in the Header tab. Fields which are marked with symbol * are mandatory fields. Booking Office Select the MSC Booking Agency Office. Booking Client Information Select the Company for which you are making the Booking for and enter other communication details. Enter the Shipping Terms, Port of Loading and Port of Discharge. If a Shipping Term other than Port to Port was selected, the next tab to navigate to will be Intermodal Details. 43 EBOOKING CONTAINER/CARGO The Container/Cargo screen requires below mandatory information to proceed to next screen: Number of containers Equipment Type Commodities Click on Add Commodity button to update/add cargo details Copyright MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. 43

45 EBOOKING SCHEDULE The Schedule screen will show 3 upcoming vessel/voyages by default for selection. This is based on the date entered in Preferred sailing date field. Select the preferred Vessel/Voyage. Copyright MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. 45

48 EBOOKING CONFIRM Entered details can be cross checked using ebooking summary, if any change is required click on the Back button. On clicking Submit button, it will send booking details to MSC Agency. ebooking reference number will be generated and ebooking status will be set as Pending MSC agency confirmation. ebooking Confirmation message will pop up after submission. 53 SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS CREATION There are 2 options to create/edit Shipping Instructions Dashboard ebooking Create Shipping Instructions (icon) ecommerce Shipping Instructions SI can be created only for Confirmed ebookings. Copyright MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. 53

54 ESI CREATION By clicking on the icon,will open the Shipping Instructions editing screen. Details that are entered in ebooking will remain, if any additional details required or any changes needed can be edited in the SI screen. By clicking Edit, details can be updated or amended. 58 ESI CREATION Once the SI is submitted to the Agency, the status will be set as Sent to MSC Once SI is processed in the Agency system, draft BL will be sent back for approval, at this stage, the status of the esi will be set as Draft Pending Customer Approval The Draft can either be edited or Approved.
