3 NOTE: Tenders are invited for the supply of equipment under "K-FIST". Any equipment with better specifications can also be quoted. Parties should quote for equipments of group A and group B separately. Parties can quote for equipments of group A only or group B only or for the equipments of both groups. Vender can bid with better specifications. 6 KLS, Gogte Institute of Technology Udyambag, Belagavi TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TENDER For supply and installation of Accessories to install roundness testing equipment Rond Com 31C of Carl Zeiss and supply and installation of Desk top Surface quality measurement unit. 1. These terms and conditions will apply to the renderers for the supply of Instruments/equipment proposed to be purchased by KLS, Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum The Institute intends to purchase scientific instruments/equipments as per the specifications and quantity mentioned in the list of equipments. However, College reserves the right to purchase or not to purchase any or all of the tender items. 3. The Institute also reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason. 4. Any tender received after due date and time will not be accepted. 5. The tender form should be filled up in the format provided. 6. The rates quoted should be normally in Indian rupees (INR) and should be inclusive of all taxes; like: excise, sales tax, Octroi, entry tax, etc. and inclusive of packing, forwarding, Insurance and freight with FOR and CIF. The quotations for the equipment to be imported can be in foreign exchange. For this purpose the address of the company in whose name the LoC or DD is to be drawn should be specified clearly. The cost of spares and optional equipment/ accessories to be quoted separately. The cost should be based on CIF, Bangalore. 7. The tenderer shall be bound to supply the ordered instruments/equipments as per terms and at the accepted rates within the stipulated time period after receiving the first order, failing which the order shall be cancelled and the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)will be forfeited. 8. Only Actual manufacturers of the instruments/equipments or dealers with facility for after sale service should submit the tender. 9. If the goods are sent by train, road or air transport only freight paid receipt should be sent. No payment for transportation shall be made by the College. 10. No conditions from the tenderer for sending the goods shall be entertained and that such tenders are liable to be rejected. 11. Details of the Tender should be submitted through e-procurement procedure

7 of Government of Karnataka. 13. The Supplier shall be responsible for satisfactory installation of the instruments/equipments and shall demonstrate the operation of the instruments/equipments and if necessary provide adequate training to the concerned staff for handling the instruments/equipments for which no additional charges will be payable. 14. If the instruments/equipments supplied is found to be defective or not as per our specifications or is not in a satisfactory working condition the tenderer will get it replaced within stipulated time at his cost and risk. The tenderer will have to give at least one-year guarantee for satisfactory working and for repairs or replacements if anything goes wrong with the instrument during one year after installation. It is advisable to factor in three years free AMC in the quotation. 15. The tender rates will be negotiable if necessary. 16. In case of any dispute arising on interpretation of terms and conditions or during supply of instruments the decision of the Principal, KLS, Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum shall be final & binding. 17. The Institute is not bound to accept the lowest rates. Tender approval will be on the basis of quality and utility of the equipments. 18. Tender form and Earnest Money Deposit are non-transferable. 19. Bidder is supposed to submit the bid to all the items mentioned in each group. No items must be left off in the bid of that group. 20. There is no compulsion to quote for all the groups, but separate quotes needs to be submitted for each group. 21. Tender will be opened on at 03.30pm in the presence of purchase committee. Bidders may attend with prior conformation.
