4 1.0 DRONE OVERVIEW This racing drone s frame has been manufactured using CFP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) to increase durability and the survivability of the drone in the event of a crash. Modular industrial design improves the drones performance as well as allowing for easy maintenance and upgrades. Advanced 5.8GHz live video feed and OSD (On Screen Display) system enables the FPV experience with the use of goggles or a remote display (sold separately). The Rapid Racing Drone utilizes a modern flight control system with 3 different flight modes allowing beginners to learn how to fly while advanced users and professionals are given full control for rolls, flips, and race course maneuvers R R R Battery Cover Shell 2. 5 2.0 TRANSMITTER OVERVIEW The Rapid Racing Drone features 3 different flight modes that are easily changed via the transmitter. There is a mode suitable for all levels of piloting skill. Select the appropriate mode according to your flight skills. For your first test flight always start with Beginner Mode until you are comfortable with the flight controls and are ready for more control. Beginner Mode - The flight control system utilizes auto stabilization to allow the pilot the ability to try the different movements of the drone in a stable environment, you can not perform any rolls in this mode. Advanced Mode - The flight control system utilizes partial auto stabilization to allow the pilot more flexibility in flight but still providing some assistance with flight stability. You can roll in this mode when strafing, be careful. Professional Mode - The flight control system allows for full flight control for the pilot that has mastered drone flight. No stabilization is active in this mode, full 3D movement with rolls, flips and tight turns are at your fingertips. 1 - Beginner Mode 2 - Advanced Mode 3 - Professional Mode 1 1. 7 4.0 ATTENTION BEFORE FLIGHT The Rapid Racing Drone is recommended for pilots 14 years and older, that have some RC hobby experience. Only fly this drone in dry weather with low wind, do not fly in rain or foggy conditions. Always fly in a wide open space. Check local laws and ordinances for legal flying areas. Keep a distance of at least 10 feet from the drone when armed. Always disarm before handling to avoid injury from the high speed rotor blades. Do not fly close to overhead power lines, cellphone towers, or radio tower, as these may interfere with your transmitter and its ability to control the drone. Avoid structures, buildings and areas filled with people, World Tech Toys will not take any responsibilities of damage, injury or financial loss by user operation. 5.0 CHARGING THE BATTERY 1. Connect the power cable to a wall outlet then connect to the charger. The included charger accepts voltage from 100V to 240V. 2. Insert the LiPo battery charging cable into the charger. 3. While charging, the LED lights will stay solid red. When charging is complete, the LED lights will turn solid green. Charge Time = 50-70min. Attention: When the red LED lights are flashing, there may be something wrong with the charger or battery, stop charging immediately. 6.0 PREPARING THE DRONE 6.1 ANTENNA I N S TALLATI O N Install the drones antenna by screwing into the port between the rear LED tail lights. Secure the antenna by pushing it into the antenna clip at the top of the rear of the drone. 4

Loosen the screws on both sides of the camera housing using a screwdriver. 2. Adjust the cameras angle then tighten screws to secure camera position. 5
9 7.0 READYING FOR FLIGHT 1. Place the drone on a flat stable surface in a wide open space, the drone s rear should be facing you. 2. Put the Flight Mode Switch to the 1 position and move the throttle stick to its lowest position. Turn on the transmitter. 3. To display the live feed and OSD information from the drone you will need a video receiving device such as FPV goggles set up. 4. Rapid Racing Drone has a low voltage alarm function and the OSD gives you a visual reference for the remaining battery power. When the voltage reaches 10.5V, the LED lights will flash quickly and the alarm will sound. (The low voltage alarm only emits from the drone, not the transmitter.) WARNING: When the drone's alarm sounds or the voltage reaches 10.5V you need to land, bring your drone closer and come in for landing. The drone is designed to be used as an FPV racing drone, it does not have any auto landing functions. Once the alarm sounds the drone will no longer be able to fully throttle and will begin its descent. Use the controls to navigate the drone to a safe landing area. 7.1 S YNCI NG THE D R O N E TO TR ANS M I T T E R 1. Turn on the transmitter ensuring that the throttle stick is at its lowest position. 2. Place the drone on a flat level surface and connect the battery cable to turn on the drone. 3.
