1 For small boxes and large bales: One-stop service CONTAINER PACKING AND SERVICE CENTRE BRIEF PROFILE HAMBURGER HAFEN UND LOGISTIK AG HHLA s container segment can do more than tranship metal boxes. Whether it s for cartons of beverage cans, canisters of chemicals, heavy printing presses or massive agricultural machinery, there s our Packing and Service Centre. In the centre of the Port of Hamburg, on the HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai site, this provides virtually the entire range of services for general cargoes and containers, serving all three of HHLA s container terminals. Experienced staff look after approximately 2,500 boxes per month here, or altogether more than 450,000 tons per year. One essential service for customers is expert, seaworthy packing, plus unloading of standard and special containers. Naturally, that also covers cargo transport between terminals and handling heavy cargoes. The Packing and Service Centre also attends to packaging damage, fumigation and degassing, surveyors inspections and customs formalities or in other words, every thing that needs to be done on the spot.

Deliveries are possible via the direct rail link or the A7 autobahn, as well as by inland waterway or seagoing ships.

For part-consignments being shipped as break-bulk cargoes, the load can also secured on board the seagoing ship.
