1 INTRODUCTION It s our pleasure to have this opportunity to serve all exhibitors participating in China Sourcing Fair Dubai Please read this shipping manual carefully and the information in this Shipping Manual may assist you to dispatch your exhibits from Hong Kong to Dubai/ vice versa smoothly and timely. Should you have any inquiry, please feel free to contact: Unit B, 8/F, Chinaweal Centre, Jaffe Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, SAR Telephone: Fax: yoky.lee@aptshowfreight.com Contact: Ms Yoky Lee DOCUMENT / CARGO DEADLINE Documentation Deadline Seafreight consignment. 18 April 2011 Airfreight consignment. 04 May 2011 Consignment Deadline Seafreight consignment. 25 April 2011 Airfreight consignment. 11 May 2011 DOCUMENTATION The following documents are required for purpose of import clearance on arrival:- By Seafreight 2 sets Original of Combined Commercial Invoice & Packing List 1 set Original of Certificate of Origin 1 copy of Insurance Certificate ( if insured ) By Airfreight 2 sets Original of Combined Commercial Invoice & Packing List 1 copy of Insurance Certificate ( if insured ) COMBINED COMMERCIAL INVOICE & PACKING LIST The entries on the Invoices must be in the English Language and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Dubai Customs Authorities. The invoices must bear the following information: Number of Packages, Itemized Description of Goods, Itemized Serial Number, Itemized Harmonized Code (if not indicate HS code on the invoice, HS code fee at HKD78.00 per item will be levied), Itemized Value, Total CIF Value indicating currency and the Manufacturer s Name and Country of Origin. Please use the format of the Combined Commercial Invoice and Packing List as per enclosure. Page 1

2 If the goods are confirmed for sale and giveaways, we would suggest you issue a separate invoice from goods which are meant for temporary import and will be returned to origin or whichever at the end of the show. Giveaways items or brochures must be given a value based on CIF basis. DO NOT INDICATE No Commercial Value on the invoice. Dubai Customs will do a valuation based on the commodity and if there re any cases of low declared value, there re chances for difference on duties/ taxes and a fine of HKD for wrong declaration. Failure to comply with documentation and accuracy will result in delay and undue inconvenience, storage and other dues which shall be for account of the exhibitor. IMPORT LICENSE The import of alcohol, wire/radio, telecommunication equipment and radioactive materials of hazardous in nature are subject to prior approval of the respective authorities. In order to arrange for these importations, we suggest you sending us information of such materials on or before 14 Mar Relevant application fee, Customs inspection fee levied by the Ministry in Dubai will be incurred in addition and for account of the exhibitor. Details will be provided upon request. FILM & VIDEO TAPES Film & video tapes will be released by Customs after customs inspection and censoring which involves additional expense. Please contact on or before 22 Apr 2011 for details. CASE MARKING All packages, whether by airfreight, seafreight or courier service, must be properly marked for identification on arrival, as follows: China Sourcing Fair Dubai 2011 c/o APT Showfreight Ltd Name of Exhibitor : Stand Number : Dimensions : Case Number : Gross/Net Weight : PACKING Exhibitors are advised to provide strong packing cases for the transportation of the exhibits which can withstand unpacking and repacking operations. For main exhibits, were commend bolted returnable type of cases to be used. This is to avoid unnecessary repair and reconstruction of cases in the event of damages due to handling whilst in transit. Dubai, UAE It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to arrange Marine (Transport) Insurance covering transport to the exhibition, during the exhibition, till the return of the exhibits to domicile/ exhibits sold locally, including the period the exhibits are handled by. Our tariff is computed on the basis of volume and weight and has no correlation with the value of exhibits which means the cost of insurance cover is not included in our charges. can offer the exhibitor insurance coverage at competitive premiums upon receiving request. TERMS OF PAYMENT Inward : Upon uplift of goods, prior to delivery to stand. Outward : Upon presentation of invoice/prior to delivery to premises. All payments must be made without any deduction or deferment on account of any claim, counterclaim or offset. Remitting bank charges are to be borne by the exhibitor. 4 BASIC HANDLING RATE INWARD/ OUTWARD HANDLING TARIFF From arrival APT Showfreight HK warehouse upto delivery booth in Dubai or vice versa Seafreight Handling charge. HKD per cbm or 1,000 kg whichever is the greater Minimum charge. HKD per consignment per exhibitor. Airfreight Handling charge. HKD36.00 per kg, based on actual weight or volumetric weight whichever is the greater Minimum charge. HKD per consignment per exhibitor Fuel insurance surcharge and. HKD5.90 per kg currently, based on actual weight or volumetric weight whichever is the greater. Will be billed to exhibitor at cost as per outlay at the time being Remarks: Outward Movement charges are same as Inward Movement charges The above seafreight /airfreight handling rate excludes import/export customs clearance fee, Customs examination fee, & documentation fee which will be billed at HKD per consignment per exhibitor, applicable on both inward & outward movement Hong Kong import/export declaration fee: 0.05% of CIF Value declared, minimum HKD per consignment per exhibitor Local pick up/delivery charges in Hong Kong HKD per cbm, min HKD per trip per location 30% late arrival surcharge will be charged for any shipments arrived later than the above deadline All shipments are to be cleared on a temporary import basis upon arrival Dubai. All no return cargo are subject to the permanent import processing fee. TEMPORARY IMPORT BOND FEE The Dubai Authority working in line with international conventions allows for Temporary Import of exhibits and display materials for trade show into Dubai. Temporary import is subject to a Temporary Import Bond Fee, non-refundable at the following rates: Temporary Import bond fee Minimum charge. 1% on CIF value, assessed by Dubai Customs. 5 PERMANENT IMPORT Any exhibits (including Giveaways and Consumables items) that are imported to Dubai permanently will be subject to permanent import processing fee and duties/taxes. Permanent import processing fee. HKD per consignment per exhibitor Duties and taxes, if any. Import Duty and Tax will be assessed by Customs authorities in Dubai and billed to exhibitors at cost as per outlay if any The exhibitor will also be required to pay for whatever duties and taxes for goods for disposal/to be destructed and destruction charges as applicable. DUTY / TAX Advance collection of Customs duty deposit at 5.0% of CIF value, refundable for items that will re-export from Dubai after show closed. Refund formalities with Customs will take a minimum of 6-8 weeks. CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN Original Certificate of Origin is required for seafreight shipment.
