GFM follows the design parameters and product requirements traditionally specified for fineblanking yielding a smooth-edge surface with a very repeatable, engineering-accepted alternative commonly known today as Gripflow. Our staff has significant years of experience in many diverse areas which complements our core business. These areas include progressive stamping, fineblanking, tool building and seating mechanisms. 5 Our Products GFM s experience in manufacturing includes: Seat Mechanisms Window Regulators/Door Systems Brakes Roof Systems Safety and Restraint Systems Cooling and Ventilation Systems Office Chair Seating GFM has complete press capabilities yielding ferrous and non-ferrous parts up to 13.0mm (0.5 ) in material thickness. Our manufacturing process and support services are applicable to low and high volume production ranging from 10,000 to over 3,000,000 units.

6 Gripflow Process Compared with its rivals, Gripflow produces parts with the characteristics of fineblanking at a lower cost. Gripflow leverages the merits of conventional stamping and fineblanking processes to derive an economical alternative yet high-quality product. The process uses a conventional, single-action hydraulic press with CNC controls which allows the production speed to be controllable in the cutting process. A stamping is squeezed from the parent material accomplished by minimal clearance between punch and die components. The material retention during stamping ensures high-repeatability from part to part and dimensional accuracy to specifications. Production rates are dependent upon part size, material type and thickness.

Gripflow unit prices are typically less than fineblanking as a result of greater material utilization and tonnage efficiency. Gripflow tooling is significantly less that conventional stamping with progressive stations. These savings are a result of multiple operations performed in a single-station die. Gripflow unit-prices can compete with conventional stamping if secondary oprations are avoided.
