3 ABLE TO PROVIDE SOLUTIONS PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT To create something new which strikes a chord with our customers and which benefits them - that s what makes up our daily work. And so, Mediseal has developed the LA160, LA300, LA400 and LA500 sachet machines. Everything becomes feasible, with a wide range of options and performance ranges, from 2 to 16 lanes GMP-compliant, naturally. The foil handling system, thanks to servo-driven roll draw-off systems, is always guided in operation. A simple sealing tool change is possible at any time, thanks to the quick-release device. Sachets, single or double, as well as contour-punched easy-tear sachets and perforations, are no problem. Appropriate transfer solutions ensure a problem-free line link to a side-load cartoning machine. Naturally, complete project solutions can be provided or developed to meet all requirements. 4 RICH IN INNOVATION DOSING SYSTEMS DEVELOPED BY EXPERTS. The right configuration for every product: liquid or paste products, powders or wipes, tablets or special forms of products. With a wide range of available dosing systems, Mediseal s sachet machines are able to package pharmaceutical and cosmetic products of all kinds. Tests and feasibility studies can be carried out quickly and professionally in our purpose-built technical laboratory. Pump-based dosing systems can be mobile and rack-mounted on request, so that at the end of a production batch they can be changed quickly and simply for a new dosing system prepared for the next batch. The dosing systems are easy to clean and fill volume is adjustable even during production. Consequently, cleaning and change-over times no longer have any notable effect on machine availability. 6 LA160 FLEXIBLE, RELIABLE AND COMPACT. The LA160, with a footprint of 1 m², is a compact, general-purpose sachet machine. Whether it is used for validation runs, new product launches or efficiently packaging small lots, the LA160 is the ideal entry-level solution to top-quality production for all pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. The LA160 is very simple to operate and reconfigure. The possible simultaneous arrangement of multiple dosing systems on the machine highlights its flexibility and explains why many pharmaceutical manufacturers use the LA160 for producing samples. It is equally suitable for tablets, liquids, granules or special objects in sachets. The vertical, balcony construction workstations can be pivoted forward through 90. All the working areas of the LA160 are easy to access and designed to comply with GMP standards. Precision tools mounted on quick-tensioning devices ensure quick and simple format conversion. 7 LA300 THE PROFIT CENTRE. The LA300 is the all-rounder of sachet packaging machines. It stands out for its high performance and flexibility and is able to cope with almost any requirement. It has been tried and tested in hundreds of installations around the world. The basic concept is proven in practice: a balcony construction machine with workstations fitted with a wide range of tools and which can be pivoted through 90 on both sides. The GMP-compliant design eliminates any hidden areas in which unseen product can accumulate. All stations are easily accessible and therefore easy to clean, maintain and set up. Speed and sealing pressure can be optimally matched to the product. Absolutely identical sealing of all packaging materials is achieved using edge control; the height of the cross-cutter can be adjusted using motor drive even during operation. This guarantees the highest sachet quality! 8 LA400 UNEQUALLED FLEXIBILITY. With the LA400, Mediseal sets new standards in terms of flexibility of equipment, format conversion and cleaning. The precursors of the new developments are its two successful predecessors, the LA300 and LA500, combined with the practical experience of our customers. The LA400 is modular in design, so subsequent adaptation to changing production requirements or products is very easy: contour punching, bevel cuts and perforations, printing and inspection of variable data, plus alternative dosing systems. For every application, Mediseal has triedand-tested solutions which can be quickly integrated. A plug-and-play principle allows complete dosing units to be removed quickly for cleaning without having to interrupt production. Control programs, special bearing caps, pneumatic tensioning shafts and an ergonomically designed cutting and splicing table facilitate foil changing. The printed side of the packaging material is fully visible to the operator; this enables accurate joining of the packaging lanes. 9 LA500 MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE IN THE SMALLEST SPACE. The LA500 is a high-speed packaging machine. The vertical design allows maximum performance with minimum space requirements. The machine is especially suitable for packaging granulates for the pharmaceutical industry or food supplements. In addition to the high-precision micro-piston dosing system, other dosing systems are available, ensuring maximum flexibility in the packaging of many different products. The LA500 is powered by servo motors and can therefore easily be linked to a cartoning machine. Its balcony-type construction and the high-visibility design of the machine comply with the stringent GMP standards of the pharmaceutical industry. The overall height of the vertical LA500 vertical sachet machine has been reduced by a combination of a longitudinal and transverse sealing station. Accessibility and monitoring of the entire production process have been improved enormously. A servo motor drive system unwinds the foil. This means that the draw-off length can be varied from the control panel. The unique advantage of this concept is that the machine runs free from vibration and noise. Depending on the product to be manufactured, up to 10 lanes can be used. Mediseal has developed quickly adaptable sachet transfer systems, providing a smooth-running link to the cartoner to meet the customer s specific performance requirements.
