1 Supervisor Reports to Inventory and Transportation () Manager Location in Organization Transportation 1. PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for supervising the truck drivers, coordinating the shipping and receiving of products to and from the plant(s) and the delivery and pickup of company property or product through company trucks. May investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping. 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Utilize various software systems, to facilitate product movement planning and scheduling including managing the GPS logistics software 2. Prepare and update monthly logistics schedule to assure deliveries to production locations 3. Coordinate daily and weekly product delivery schedules with customers and/or drivers 4. Create Delivery Tickets, and/or BOL s for customer pick-ups 5. Coordinate daily activity to track location and movement of Marion Ag inventory via Marion Ag trucks 6. Provide reports to internal and external customers as required 7. Organizes and maintains hard copy and electronic documentation supporting order ful fillment, distribution means, pricing, and contractual obligations and delegates work to of fice staff Prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of carrier invoices per de fined processes, 10. Coordinates with other departments to con firm products on hand and available from active sales orders 11. Ensures that goods are shipped in the timeliest and ef ficient manner according to documented processes, including planning the transportation route and payload, selecting the mode of transportation, tendering the order for transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery all the while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service and contractual requirements; tracking mileage. 12. Establish priorities and schedules deliveries/jobs in a manner consistent with customer service goals. 13. Communicate with appropriate departments to ensure that all orders satisfy order submission requirements. 14. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures. 15. Review delivery tickets/work orders to select the correct route based on the destination, shipment size and customer time requirements as well as other particular customer needs for each delivery address. 16. Control driver, truck and route productivity by ensuring that each truck carries a maximum load. 17. Schedule shipments to ensure compliance with DOT regulation and company policy. Ensure that DOT regulations are enforced. 3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Arrive to work and meetings on time and prepared. 2. Maintain work areas in a clean and organized manner. 3. Perform any other duties assigned by your manager. 4. Respond promptly to customer needs. 5. Maintain con fidentiality of business, customer and personnel matters. 6. Communicate changes and progress to manager. 7. Follow instructions, respond to management direction.

Observe safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials properly. 13. Promote teamwork within your department, location, and company. 4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EPERIENCE - a. Bachelors degree in related field and or several years of logistics/dispatch experience. b. Experience supervising staff. c. Working Knowledge of MS Of fice and other software d. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work ef ficiently. e. Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. f. Valid Oregon Driver License and good driving record (CDL preferred). g. Ability to learn to drive a forklift 5. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EPERIENCE a. Previous experience working with fertilizer or food industry b. Locomotive mover and front-end loader equipment experience 6. MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND Concentrated mental and/or visual attention; the work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality speci fications; or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 8. WORKING CONDITIONS - Use the following charts to indicate the presence, relative amount of, and continuity of exposure to disagreeable elements typically found in the physical work surroundings. a.
