Export to China Process Guide 4.1 Overall Process Chart Apply to China Quality Certification Center for CCC Submit documents (incl. packing list, invoice, contract in duplicate, customs declaration form, inspection/quarantine application, CCC certificate) Use online inspection/quarantine system to apply for Customs Clearance of Entry Commodities Use online customs system to declare the import and pay duties/fees Customs Release 4.2 Commodity Inspection Application Through Customs inspection: get released For commodity inspection, the cargo owner should submit the following documents to port inspection and quarantine agency: (1) Application for Entry Commodity Inspection; (2) Trade Contract, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Invoice (copy); (3) Certificate of China Compulsory Certification; The Certificate of China Compulsory Certification is required for the following commodities: Microcomputers, portable computers, display devices connected with computers, printing devices connected with computers, multipurpose printing copiers, scanners, computer 6

9 built-in power supplies and power adapters, computer game devices, learning machines, copiers, servers, and electronic devices for financial settlement 4.3 Customs Declaration The cargo owner should submit the following documents to local Customs House: Necessary: packing list, invoice, contract in duplicate, customs declaration form, inspection/quarantine application; Form of Customs Clearance of Entry Commodities 4.4 Tax Calculation Duty amount: dutiable value duty rate (%) VAT amount: (dutiable value + import duty + consumption tax) VAT rate Consumption tax: dutiable value (1+duty rate) consumption tax rate/(1- consumption tax rate) 7
