2 THE COMPANY Progeco Vigo, S.A. was set up in 1994 as the first shipping container depot at the Port of Vigo, during the main development of container traffic and simultaneously at the creation of the Container Terminal in Vigo. The initial services that the Company offered in 1994 were the inspection, maintenance and repair of empty containers; all of which took place at our installations at the Dock of Guixar. Two years later, in 1996, the Company began to diversify its portfolio of services and started operations as a CFS (Container Freight Station), loading and unloading containers. The Company became specialized in not only the loading and securing of goods in standard containers but also in Out Of Gauge (OOG) cargo in flat rack containers and in the lashing of the same. This is why an investment was made in software for the optimization of loads and lashing as well as hiring well qualified staff in order to perform this type of operations. From the year 2000 onwards, after having experienced a high level of growth, it was then decided to invest in new installations in Porriño, acting as a support to its container logistics services. Further investment took place in 2006 on purchasing new facilities at the Vigo Logistics Park (PTL Vigo) where, as in Porriño, the carrying out of logistical storage services such as feeder warehousing, cross-docking, distribution, etc. takes place. 2
