4 Extrusion Industry Products High-performance, High-reliability Pumps Every Oilgear pump embodies the collective know-how gained from our long history of building pumps. Our pumps offer unparalleled levels of performance, reliability and long life service. Oilgear standard variable displacement axial piston pumps offer displacements ranging from 11 cm 3 /rev to 540 cm 3 /rev at operating pressures up to 6,500 psi (450 bar). High-pressure Oilgear Towler series fixed displacement check valve-type pumps offer continuous operation up to 14,500 psi (1000 bar). Oilgear pumps offer many benefits. High horsepowerto-weight ratios reduce space requirements. Fast response, horsepower limiting, load sensing and pressure compensating pump controls ensure energy efficient pump operation. Further economy may be realized as full thru shaft horsepower ratings allow in-line coupling of axial pumps driven from one prime mover. Extreme tolerance to dirt and fluid contamination is afforded by specially-treated hard-on-hard internal wear surfaces coupled with an innovative hydrodynamic bearing design. Compatibility with biodegradable and fire-resistant fluids reduces environmental liability. High-performance Valves and Integrated Manifolds Oilgear manufactures a full component of spool, cartridge and specialty servo valves for demanding flow control applications. These valves can be combined into compact, low-maintenance, customintegrated, manifold assemblies for high-volume and high-pressure operation with minimal pressure drops. Compact, state of the art, integrated manifolds minimize piping for large flow capacity systems. Designed with smooth shifting, high response, slip-in cartridges, these manifolds result in shock-free switching with reduced dead cycle time, reduced system shock and reduced system leakage - all keyed to saving your investment dollars.

5 Power Units Oilgear power units are supplied to OEM s for new equipment as well as end users to upgrade or retrofit an existing system. They can be found in almost every application that requires hydraulic power. A well designed reservoir will be sized and properly baffled to eliminate turbulence, aeration and temperature problems. Oilgear engineers will work with you to define system requirements to determine proper capacity and ensure the unit meets your space and performance specifications. A complete HPU includes the reservoir, pumps, motors, oil cooling and filtration systems, and necessary valving or manifolds. Pumps can be mounted on the top or side of the reservoir. Vertical and in-tank mounting configurations are also available. Systems can be designed for special fluids or unique environmental conditions. 6 Extrusion Industry Electronic Controls Oilgear can design a control package to fully automate your entire extrusion operation, offering numerous levels of process control for integration into new and existing installations. Oilgear manufactures control desks and consoles suitable for use in an extrusion facility. The equipment is built tough to provide years of service in the harshest of environments. A complete system with operator interface allows you to control and monitor all phases of the extrusion operation. It will display any variable that can exist in the control system. The operator can change set-up parameters with a touch of the screen. Specialized graphic screens provide quick visual assessment of all system functions walls of gages and indicators are eliminated. Automatic self-checking diagnostics and failure annunciator displays provide positive warning of any unsafe conditions.
