3 The applicant has informed that they required the extension for the utilization of DGFT s license whose validity has been extended till 01/03/2018. The matter was considered in the 84 th Meeting of the Expert committee held during 27 th and 28 th February The Committee suggested that the applicant may furnish information on the no. of defective parts which were exported during the last three years before their application for extension of the period of the previous is considered. Applicant vide OM. Dated 23/02/2017 has already taken extension of 1 no. of ETS-364/ with ASM Cards for 5 years out of these 22 nos. of total items. The matter was considered in the 81 st Meeting of the Expert Committee held during 17 th and 18 th August During presentation, the representative stated that out of 123 used electronic items for which has been obtained in March 2014, they have only 22 items. Applicant intend to re-export 20 of these items within 3 years as per the condition of the, the items will be retained for another 2 years. However this information is to be confirmed in form of written submission from the applicant till then the matter is deferred. The applicant has now submitted the information.

They have mentioned that they need to continue using (42+21) nos. of equipment to deliver on their commitment to their customers with regards to R&D, testing, critical/regular maintenance support activities and to delivering resolutions and work around to issues and support in maintaining the stability of their networks with very stringent Service Level Assurance(SLA) clauses. The matter was considered in the 83 rd Meeting of the Expert Committee held on 26 th December The Committee recommended that the applicant may be invited for the presentation. Till then the matter is deferred.the applicant has confirmed for presentation in the 84 th Meeting.

7 The matter was deliberated again in the 84 th Meeting of the Expert Committee held during 27 th and 28 th February The Committee noted that for all these items was granted for import in May,2014 and Nov, 2014 with the stipulation that these item will be re-exported within 3 years from the date of import. The items (42+21=63 nos.) against the in May, 2014 were during June-October 2014 and they were supposed to be re-exported during the corresponding months in Instead the applicant has approached the Ministry for extension of the period of retention by 4 years in Dec, The applicant has therefore been asked during presentation to write to the Ministry explaining the circumstances under which they did not apply for extension in time and for condoning this lapse.
