3 04 05 Sirocco Air Classifiers offer the most efficient dry-wash solution to remove excess fines from sand or crushed rock The CDE Sirocco produces high quality sand for a range of applications including concrete manufacture. The system is particularly suited to processors without ready access to water. Sirocco air classifiers are most often employed in arid climates where water resources are particularly limited. However they also appeal to producers in more temperate regions who may not want to introduce water to their process for a variety of reasons. Our air classification technology has been proven over 70 years and 3000 worldwide installations to be the most efficient and effective air classification technology available in the world. 4 06 07 Sirocco Key Benefits Feed Spout Separating Zone Separation efficiency The primary concern with any classification system is the ability to effectively remove fines from a feed stream while also minimising loss of quality sand. Sirocco is proven to be the most efficient system available in this regard. Recovery of material in the 75 micron to 600 micron range is crucial to the production of in-spec sands and Sirocco significantly outperforms other air classification systems within this range. The increased efficiencies offered by Sirocco ensure maximum production of inspec sand from your feed stream resulting in a quick return on your investment. Pendulum enclosed drive mechanism Ensures free, high speed, rotary movement of the fan assembly within the Sirocco unit, optimising airflow. The self supporting drive mechanism eliminates the requirement for an internal support frame which ensures air flow is distributed evenly throughout the unit. The pendular fan assembly design also reduces potential abrasion and maintenance costs as there is no unnecessary framework obstructing the coarse material fall-zone. Minimal wear on selector blades Due to the positioning of the distributor plate which is located under the selector blades, larger particles simply fall directly into the collection chute rather than impacting unnecessarily on the selector blades. As it is the larger particles that will cause the most wear within the system, this design feature ensures that resistance to wear within the Sirocco unit is maximised, thus increasing plant life and reducing ongoing operation and maintenance costs. This also ensures that the selector blades are not fed any more coarse material than necessary, thereby increasing efficiency in their actual role of preventing excess loss of commercial fines. This allows you to select the system most appropriate for your production requirements and where capacities over 200 tons per hour are required eliminates the need for investment in additional ancillary equipment such as feed hoppers and feed and stockpile conveyors to feed two independent classification units. 5 Sirocco Key Benefits 09 FEED CONVEYOR MOBILE STOCKPILE CONVEYORS Optimum quantity of selector blades The Sirocco system has up to 4 times more removable selector blades within the unit when compared to other air classification systems, maximising the potential for efficient fines removal. The performance of the selector blades is further enhanced by the presence of a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) which gives excellent cut point control. Unique coarse cone design for minimum wear The unique ribbed design of the coarse cone section within the Sirocco ensures minimal impact of material on steel reducing wear and thus reducing ongoing plant operation and maintenance costs. The coarse cone is also fitted with easily replaceable steel liners to ensure the minimum amount of time is spent on plant maintenance. Superior wear resistance The specification of durable, wear resistant liners throughout the Sirocco unit ensures maximum resistance to abrasion allowing for the efficient processing of abrasive materials.
