Certificates of compliance are required from all suppliers. 1.0 Description: This Women s Boot is an injection molded PVC kneeboot with a shiny black upper and a clear transluscent, cleated outsole molded on a rocker last with a plain toe. This over-the-sock style boot is lined with hi-loft gray felt and contains a removable insole. See figures 1, 2 and 3 below. 2 3.0 Sizes: Women s Physical Requirements: Boots are to conform to the individual component specifications listed in section 2.0, as well as all requirements listed below. 4.1 Mold Type: Aluminum Injection Mold, TRC # Mold is designed to provide optimum material distribution and to balance side-to-side wall thickness. 4.2 Dimensions: see appendix A for average height and length of boots, by size 4.3 Weight: see appendix A for average boot weight, by size 4.4 Gauge: see appendix B for material thickness at specific boot locations 4.5 Date Code: Date of Manufacture is required as per TRC-SOP Insole: Each boot must contain a properly sized and mated insole of the type designated in section 2.0. Size designation follows TRC-SOP Toe Caps: Not applicable. 4.8 Pair matching: Each pair consisting of 1 left and 1 right boot must be mated in all of the following criteria. See TRC-LBL Liner: Each boot is totally lined with charcoal gray hi-loft felt. It is molded into the boot with no rips, tears or wrinkles. Lining is evenly cut at top of boot shaft. 4.11Appearance: Boots are to be clean, free from obvious defects, flash and contamination. Surfaces should be visually smooth in texture and contrast, with no evidence of foreign material or distortion. Molded surfaces must be fully formed, well defined and properly aligned, with smooth seams and neatly trimmed edges. Shafts are maintained to provide a high gloss finish. Gauge (thickness) of material in each boot must be balanced to ensure shafts remain upright in a normal freestanding position. 5.0 Special Properties or Performance Standards: N/A 6.0 Packaging: 6.1 Pair unit: Each mated pair of boots is connected with a plastic fastener strung through a prepunched hole in the hangtag. Tie length is 9 in. long (approximately 23 cm.). The fastener is attached to the beading of the left and right inner shaft panel no more than 0.5 inches (1.25 cm) below the boot tops. See figure 6 below Labeling: The hangtag front contains size, style number, description, product picture and UPC barcode along with the Tingley and satisfaction guarantee logos. 5 6.2 Inks: All materials including tags, case and pallet labels must be printed with permanent water-resistant inks. 6.3 Barcodes: All printed barcodes must be electronically scannable to the degree that inventory control, retail tracking and identification are facilitated. 6.4 Outer (shipping) case: Six pairs of boots are packed into each corrugated case. Each pair is placed in a toe-to-toe L-7 pattern with overlapping shafts. A cardboard divider sheet is placed in the carton after the 2 nd and 4 th pair. The carton is then straight taped to seal. Corrugated case requirements are listed in TRC-COR Case Logo: The red Tingley logo, company location and date of establishment is printed on opposing major panels of the case along with the country of manufacturing origin as per TRC-PKG A case label containing description, style number, count, size and UPC barcode is placed in the lower right hand corner of one of the blank panels, and stacked with the labels facing the exterior of the skid. For more information on case labels, see TRC-LBL Sealing: The case is straight-taped with adhesive tape on top and bottom, as per TRC-SOP Palletization: Thirty (30) sealed shipping cartons (outer cases) are stacked on a 4-way entry 40x48 pallet. The pallet is stretch-wrapped to encompass all case layers and the pallet. All pallets must be in compliance with all US Federal requirements Labeling: Placed in the upper right hand corner of each wrapped pallet is a pallet label indicating Tingley Rubber Corporation, style number, and description as well as barcode denoting style number/size, total product count on the pallet and pallet case count. The ship date is also recorded in the space provided. See TRC-LBL Partial Pallets: Palletizing multiple SKU s on one skid is minimized. When necessary, not more than two different SKU s of the same style (product number code) are mixed on a skid.
