A client maintains a large mobile fleet of reusable transportation assets and needed a way to avoid lost revenue situations that were occurring due to errors and lack of visibility with their existing manual barcode scanning inventory system. In the first three months OnAsset s solution identified an immediate 10% increase in the ability to book revenue on assets that would have otherwise been miss-categorized in their existing system. The increase in asset utilization represents several million dollars of additional revenue annually. CASH GAP MINIMIZATION. A client was having an issue with the extended receiving cycle of shipments sent to one of their largest end customers resulting in up to 10 days of additional time before goods could be fully received and invoiced. Their end customer blamed a manual receiving process for this significant delay. OnAsset equipment was deployed to record exact arrival time of the shipment at the customer s dock, and to further detect exactly when the customer opened the package by using the tracking device s onboard light sensor. OnAsset s Vision software was integrated with the client s SAP system to trigger an automatic invoicing event when the end customer accessed the package. Overall this approach resulted in a 20% reduction in our client s accounts receivable cycle yielding in excess of $600K savings annually. THEFT MITIGATION & RECOVERY. One of the largest domestic 3PL providers experienced 6 full truckload thefts of high value electronics over a 3 month window. They decided to test OnAsset technology and on the 9 th shipment (a load of televisions worth nearly $1MM) we alerted on a theft in progress. OnAsset issued external alerts in real time and helped authorities respond and track the criminals back to a warehouse where an additional $4.5MM of stolen goods was recovered. Five individuals with ties to a known local theft ring were arrested and goods were recovered. GLOBAL EFFECTIVENESS. The world s largest global logistics provider won a new contract to ship high value refrigerated pharmaceuticals via ocean cargo. They used OnAsset s satellite and cellular equipped tracking devices to monitor the load. The system issued a temperature compliance alert when the generator from the refrigeration unit was mistakenly unplugged at a port facility in South America. Real time notifications were sent to the client and the load was intercepted and support personnel were dispatched the entire process from alert notification to full resolution occurred within a 2 hour time window and was fully administered from the customer s control center in Germany.

3 SOLUTION COMPONENT #2 the SENTRY HARDWARE PLATFORM The SENTRY hardware platform is a unique, modular hardware architecture that provides support for a variety of radios, sensors, and battery options. A key attribute of the SENTRY platform is the adaptability of the electronics to be repurposed in new form factors that address all modes of freight and all types of cargo. The product platform includes multiple mounting configurations and flexibility to enable several wireless networks including cellular and satellite in a single device. Sensors: All SENTRY devices contain a rich set of sensor capabilities. Customers can set alert parameters directly on the device to communicate immediately when pre-set thresholds are breached or events of interest occur. The following list of sensors are available on every device: - GPS location - Humidity - Cell tower location - Shock - Light - Vibration - Temperature - Motion detection - Pressure Communications: The SENTRY product platform includes options for multiple wireless connectivity nodes including GSM/GPRS worldwide cellular, CDMA domestic cellular and global Iridium satellite. The product is adaptable to use wireless data services from nearly any carrier to provide connectivity anywhere in the world. Battery: Battery options for long and short haul transportation are available ranging from as few as three days for short duration air cargo shipments to as long as two months for long haul ocean voyages. Battery life is based on the type of device and frequency of reporting, which is defined and selected based on customer requirements. Device reporting parameters can also be changed remotely or automatically by Vision using pre-defined business rules. Equipment can be powered from external sources if more permanent installation is desired. Installation: All SENTRY and ContainerSafe devices can be easily installed in seconds without requiring tools. All products have been designed to allow for rapid installation and use across a wide range of applications. No other manufacturer provides a single product platform for such a wide variety of assets and modes of travel that are also easy and fast to install.

4 UNIQUE CAPABILITY Problem: Traditional tracking equipment is limited in capability and cannot be used on aircraft. Solution: OnAsset s products incorporate our patented FlightSafe feature an FAA compliant technology that allows our products to be used on aircraft. Since FAA review OnAsset s air carrier network has increased to over twenty-five international operators.
