MG2 will attend the event with a rich lineup of machines, showing advanced technological solutions including MultiNETT, the most precise system to check the net weight in process. Absolute preview for GRP robopalletizer. MG2 s headquarter, in the heart of the Italian well-known Packaging Valley Innovate to grow. This has always been one of MG2 s dictates; in a climate of global depression, the Italian company keeps focusing on the development of technological innovations; as a way to face the world crisis, MG2 wants to offer proposals made to measure, in order to meet customers requirements. At Achema, the company (based in Pian di Macina di Pianoro - Bologna) will show a wide range of machines, representing a varied offer; moreover, MG2 will organize some meetings, dedicated to customers, journalists and other operators of the pharmaceutical field, to analyse in depth the most advanced solutions carried out by the Research & Development department. In order to further and deeper involve their Customers, MG2 has planned a series of workshops, that will take place in the company booth, Halle 3.1 Stand F31, presenting the technological solutions and the services proposed by the company. These meetings will have a duration of approximately 20 minutes and will be structured in order to enable a proactive participation of the attendees. This is the daily calendar of the workshops: am - Process Understanding & Improvement will show how MG2 machines and control systems may be used to understand the productive process and identify improvements. We will see together practical examples of application of basic concepts of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to obtain an increasing efficiency of the process and effectiveness of its control am - MultiFLEXA 250 and MultiNETT will explain the features of highspeed capsule filler MultiFLEXA 250, with a particular focus on performance of MultiNETT, the innovative 100% in-process weight control system. At the end of the workshop we will have the chance to experience first-hand the solutions described during the presentation as they are showed at the booth pm - Low & micro powder dosages will describe the different technologies available on MG2 capsule fillers for the filling and weight control of low and micro dosages of product. 3 The line-up of machines on show. As the tradition wants, MG2 will be in Frankfurt showing a wide range of automatic machines dedicated to production, packaging and research. MultiFLEXA 250 is the perfect choice for pharmaceutical productions requiring speed and precision. The machine is equipped with two dosing stations suitable for any oral solid form and relevant combinations. Powder and pellets dosing units are NO CAPSULE NO DOSAGE type: if the capsule to be filled is missing, the dose is neither drawn nor released, thus ensuring considerable economic advantages in product saving, as well as avoiding its dispersion in the processing area and in the environment. In order to optimize the product flow, MultiFLEXA 250 can be integrated with automatic loading systems for capsules and products, as well as systems to sort, clean and distribute filled capsules at the outfeed. A containment version MultiFLEXA 250 is available, which ensures the insulation of the filling zone, as well as a WIP version, featuring a Wash in Place cleaning system, fully automated. MultiFLEXA 250 inside a production room PLANETA 100 is a capsule filler of modular design, which allows to fit up to two different dosing units at the same time, in order to fill powders, pellets, microtablets, tablets, liquids and several different combinations of these. These units all have the same base shape on the machine deck (sector design) and are easy to dismantle and interchange. Planeta 100 is the fastest among Planeta s series, as it can reach up to capsules/hour. The other versions have production speeds from up to capsules/hour; it is possible to upgrade from any speed to the next one up just by adding extra elements to the operating units. 4 AlterNova is the first intermittent motion capsule filler which changes its configuration to meet the most diversified production requirements, at the same speed of customers needs change; in fact, it can implement its production speed from up to capsules/hour, in any moment of its life. A simple and intuitive control panel for AlterNova capsule filler FlexaLAB is the latest innovation in the field of machines for R&D laboratories, clinical trials, small batch outputs and special productions. For productions up to cps/h, it is based on the same functioning principles as MG2 high speed machines, keeping in that way the productions scale-up possibilities. FlexaLAB can work either at continuous or intermittent motion, depending on the type of dosing unit installed. Thanks to the possibility to install two dosing units at the same time, it enables to make product combinations inside the same capsule, in order to guarantee the maximum flexibility required by R&D laboratories. GSL10 is a horizontal case packer suitable to form, fill and close RSC cases. GSL10 guarantees positive and forced case opening, reliable product feeding and collation, operator ergonomics, easy and quick size change-over. The case can be closed either by means of tape or hot-melt glue. GSL10 can handle up to 10 cases per minute, in accordance with the case size and product arrangement. The case packer can be equipped with optional units such as bar code readers, ink jet printers, labellers and reject station. 5 The new palletizer/depalletizer GRP is featured by an anthropomorphic robot, which guarantees high performances and flexibility. The machine has a modular structure, which can be configured by the customer with the required functional modules: one or two palletizing bays, automatic empty pallet feeding with full pallet automatic outfeed, slip-sheet magazine to feed a slip-sheet between the layers of products. The robopalletizer/depalletizer GRP has many points of strength: it can easily switch from an EU to an US pallet size and viceversa at any time, just by adding two spacers; the palletizing scheme is easily reconfigurable; full pallets can reach a height of up to 2200 mm. The GRP robopalletizer is an ideal end-of-line for MG2 horizontal and vertical case packers, but it can as well be connected to any upstream equipment.
