2 AREAS OF APPLICATION FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION Originally designed as a First Article Inspection system, Cluso excels in this space. If human visual inspection is occupying too much time during the line changeover process, it s very likely that Cluso will not only dramatically shorten that time but improve the accuracy of that process. While some existing first article tools help a little, Cluso is the only system that integrates all BOM, CAD & Visual images in a single interface, with a step by step process that ensures nothing is missed. 5 IN THE REAL WORLD EMS LARGE & SMALL The EMS environment can be subjected to high line changeover with a punishing loss of line up time. Cluso can often recover 75% or more of this time. CLUSO BREAKS ALL THE RULES This image shows the creativity of a Cluso owner who uses an image of the CAD layout drawing for the first inspection of a new product. Without a golden sample, the drawing substitutes as a temporary fix to improve the efficiency of getting to that first golden sample. You might also use a scan of a bare board, where reference designator markings would facilitate the first pass. Towards the bottom left, note the ability to offer images of multi-vendor parts against any inspection step.
