15 Centralized disused SRS Storage The Storage is being built with the financial support of the Department of Energy and Climate Changes of the United Kingdom and European Commission Construction Start March 2011 End of construction December
16 General characteristics of Centralized Storage for DSRS Expected amount of DSRS is approximately spc. Main works on storage loading are oriented for the period up to 15 years with average production from 6 to 120 sources per day. Into the storage are placed: RAW in the form of DSRS in transport packaging sets (ПКТIВ- 120Н, ПКТ I В-180Н, ПКТ I В-230Н, ПКТ I В , ПКТ II В- 420 type or in other certified containers) DSRS in SRS blocks (type БГИ andэ) packages with alpha-sources in containers-collectors КС-004А radioisotope thermoelectric generator ( Betta-M type RTG)
17 Primary technologies According to transport-process scheme of the storage there are envisaged five flows : 1 Flow RTG 2 Flow blocks of sources BGR type 3 Flow neutron sources 4 Flow γ (Со-60, Cs-137 etc.), β(sr -90/Y-90 etc.), α+γ (Ra-226, Am-241)-sorces 5 Flow α -sources(pu-238, 239)
