Configuring the control units Apply the procedure described in the Configuring the control units section to declare the units on your installation. b. Configuring the readers In the Type of readers window, select the Vein or Fingerprint reader you wish to install (CBMPROX485 / SOLO, BIOVEIN). Enter the reader s identifier, which is found on the label affixed inside the reader itself (SOLO / CBMPROX485) or in the information menu of the BIOVEIN reader. Click OK. Caution: If you are connecting only one biometric reader to a particular control unit, and the unit s second reader is not used, either leave type HID for the second reader, or delete it.

Next, open a user file and select the Encoding tab: You can then: Encode a badge with a fingerprint: SenatorFX.NET will ask you to enrol one or two of the user's fingers and then encode the user's badge. Encoding a badge to be enrolled: this button lets you encode a badge that you give to the user, who will enrol himself/herself on a CBMPROX485/SOLO reader at his/her first entry or exit. Encode a badge without a fingerprint: the user of this badge will not be required to present a fingerprint when passing CBMPROX485/SOLO readers. To do this, you can select whether or not each reader will accept this type of badge (Reader configuration, special functions in the Technical tab, and then Site configuration ). Erasing a badge: erase the entire badge configuration so that it can be re-used for another user. g. Using fingerprint only Important note: Before using this function, ensure that you are authorized to use fingerprints as the sole means of identification according to the legislation in force in the country of the installation. On remote workstations, select Client installation type: refer to the Software installation section for further details. The first time the client workstation is booted, proceed as follows: By default, the graphical interface tries to connect to the server on the current machine. In the Server address field, specify the name of the machine (or its IP address, if fixed) on which the communication service is installed. Click Connection. Opening of the SENATORFX.NET software home page Click OK.
