DTMP differentiates itself with unique capabilities across heavy tonnage (up to 1,600 tons), deep draw (up to 16 inches), large bed sizes (up to 8 feet by 12 feet) and thin and thick gauge inputs. DTMP is one of the only independent manufacturers in North America with the full range of production capabilities required to meet the size and quantity needs of its demanding end markets. Combining this with design engineering capabilities, flexibility and a vertically integrated manufacturing platform enables DTMP to produce large format components with solutions that involve numerous production functions. DTMP provides a dedicated pre-production team to assist customers in developing newly fabricated products. The pre-production team is a cross-functional group that contains experienced mechanical and industrial engineers, black belt specialists, pre-production (launch) personnel. They are responsible for handling the design process and planning for items entering the Detroit Tool Metal Products facility.
