6 Pricing surcharges Standard Surcharges Ex VAT prices per parcel Non-machineable parcels Any parcel that does not comply with one of the standard parcel specifications set out in our terms and conditions of sale requires special handling. 6 Unacceptable parcels As a matter of course, unacceptable parcels must not be dropped off at La Poste. For all delivery methods, shipments that do not comply with the conditions for machineable or nonmachineable parcels, as set out in the terms and conditions, will not be accepted into the postal network. Parcels will be considered unacceptable for the following reasons: - weight - wrapping - size - packaging 50 Calculation method Fuel Surcharge (FS) The Fuel Surcharge is a surcharge linked to fuel prices. Depending on the routing method used to ship the parcel, the customer will be charged a fuel price adjustment for routing by road or plane. This coefficient is applied to the billed amount excl. VAT, after discount (optional services, pricing surcharges, miscellaneous costs, duties and taxes excluded) as a percentage which changes every month. The FS is available on Percentage variable on a monthly basis Volumetric weight The volumetric weight is applied to parcels to be shipped internationally (list of applicable countries at and to French Overseas Territories by air. La Poste will apply the price for volumetric weight if the latter is greater than the dead weight of the parcel.
