7 JSC «Kalija Parks» and port of Ventspils invites to use Dzintaru Politicaly stable situation Port and terminal are situated in the Member state of European Union and NATO, from 1 January 2014 in Euro zone. Latvia is interested in transit of Russia s export goods. Ice free, deep port Lower freight rates and cheaper sea transportation of cargoes there is no requirements to use ice class vessels; ability to load the maximum DWT vessels. High intensity of loading Transhipment up to thousand. tons per month, unloading of up to 450 railway wagons per day, handling of Panamax size vessel in three days terminal allows to receive the economy on freight (Panamax vs. Handysize) and to get the premium for fast loading in vessels (despatch). Low costs of loading. Developed storage of goods Ability to storage separately 6 type of fertilizers. Coordinated transhipment of cargoes of Uralkali and Belaruskali Advantageous total distance from producers to port of Ventspils and the high capacity of JSC Kalija Parks allows to handle the largest export markets by uniting of the cargo flows. It could help to ease the logistics and to form large vessel parties to decrease the total costs of transportation. Potential for further development Ability to enlarge all nodes of the terminal warehouses, berths, wagon unloading stations increase of total capacity up to 8,5 mln. tons of fertilizers per year.
