According to Mr. Hubert Angenendt (managing director of Lotec Loh GmbH & Co. KG) it used to be quite chaotic at Lotec when cutting tools were involved. That is why Mr. Angenendt and his team decided to introduce a logistical tool management with Guhring in The tool management is processed via a TM 326 tool dispensing system controlled by Guhring s GTMS tool management software. Lotec employees withdraw the required tools from this system as required whereby they book the withdrawal in the software. Based on this data starting points for important technology improvements can be determined. However, this requires the tool stock is kept under lock and key and every tool withdrawal is logged in the management software.
