2 HEART THE HEART OF THE SHOREDITCH Canvas Studios is a newly refurbished intimate venue located in Shoreditch. This blank canvas space has been designed to be as flexible as possible and has a total floor space of more than 3,000 sq ft. The venue is split into three spaces: the main space (1,500 sq ft), a breakout space (500 sq ft) and a catering space (1,000 sq ft). All can be hired together or separately from each other. Canvas Studios is an affordable venue that can accommodate any level of budget. Located a stones throw away from Shoreditch Overground and 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street, the location is perfect for a wide range of events looking to attract high attendance and footfall. The location of the hireable cafe, which can be opened up to the event space means, that any exhibitions or public events can benefit dramatically from the cafe s footfall. 4 HERE TO HELP THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW We are on hand to guide you through the process of staging your event at Canvas Studios. We have a dedicated management team to ensure the smooth running of your event. In addition we have a distinguished list of accredited suppliers including caterers, production companies and florists. We can put you in touch directly with any other required third parties and assist you with any special requirements. Here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions: Damage Deposit We will hold a damage deposit for every event the value will vary depending on the activity itself and length of hire. We will conduct pre and post event venue checks with you to catalogue any damages. If there are no damages caused, the deposit will be returned to you in full 7 days after the hire period ends. Payments All fees are payable in full prior to access on site. Upon confirmation we will invoice for 50% of the hire fee, 100% of the management fee. All other charges are due at least one month prior to the first day of the hire period.

5 Permissions If you are selling tickets or alcohol for your event then you will require a Temporary Events Notice (TEN) from Hackney. We can help with this process if necessary. Approval for TEN application must be authorised by Blank Canvas. Contracts Event facilities are hired subject to Blank Canvas standard licence agreement. A thorough schedule of hire will be required for each event. A standard template will be supplied and will form part of the licence agreement. Health & Safety All venue hirers will be required to provide Health & Safety documentation for their event. Advertising & Promotion All venue hirers must submit advertising and promotional material in relation to their event for landowner approval in advance of release to the public domain.
