5 Facilities and Capabilities The facility is based on a remote 1200 acre site at the Bramble Island facility in Essex, close to the international ports of Felixstowe and Harwich. Amenities include up to 720 tonnes HT1 and 210 tonnes HT3 & HT4 of storage capacity; secure HT1 transit storage. With our very own licenced dock and bonded warehouse, this wide range of facilities benefit from regular charter sailings to and from the European mainland. EPC-UK also operate a fleet of specialist vehicles (EX II and EX III) throughout the UK and Europe. Licensed under the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations (2005), EPC-UK operates two dedicated weapon systems process buildings, alongside a testing facility for trials and explosives training and destruction grounds. In addition, EPC-UK operates a number of dedicated facilities and depots throughout the UK, which affords us an unique nationwide footprint. 9 Introducing cost efficiencies to the Class 1 explosives market The EPC Logistics Groupex service enables part loads of HD Class 1 goods to be loaded with other compatible products into a single consignment, to deliver cost-effective efficiencies to our customers. EPC Logistics operates its own regular sailing to and from mainland Europe from its own purpose built dock, located at our secure site in Harwich. The dock is licensed to receive 125 tonnes NEQ at any given time, allowing EPC Logistics to provide security and ensure schedule integrity to your shipment. Our secure dock and magazine stores enable us to facilitate large volumes of explosives and offer on-site storage for both Groupex and full load containers.
