4 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTIONS Read through the entire manual before beginning the assembly work. Follow the instructions to assure that the product follows existing standards. The purpose of the assembly instructions is to facilitate a correct installation and to inform about risks and how to avoid them. Remember that the instructions are for your safety and others. Assembly & instructions for use must be followed: * during assembly * during regular controls (together with a schedule for periodic controls) * for measures according to the instructions Each installation must be equipped with a visibly placed load sign. Regular control is necessary to assure the pallet rack s technical security. On our homepage you will find examples of protocols for the periodic control of pallet racks. Parts of the assembly and instructions for use refer to European Standard SS-EN 565:2008 Steel static storage systems - application and maintenance of storage equipment. The above standard can be ordered by the buyer/user from SIS if necessary. See for more information. CONTACT US This symbol is used to warn/indicate something of importance. 5 BEFORE YOU START RECOMMENDED TOOLS FLOOR The buyer/user is responsible for the floor being dimensioned for the load in question. mm 6 mm 7 mm 8 mm ANCHORING The pallet rack must be anchored to the floor to prevent the uprights from moving when mechanical handling equipment is used in or close to the storage systems. SAFETY Correct assembly of the rack is important for a safe construction. The assembly must be performed in a professional manner and in accordance with these instructions. 7 CONTROL & MAINTENANCE ASSEMBLY & CONTROL Control of the assembly must be performed before using the pallet rack to assure that the instructions for assembly have been followed. CONSTRUCTION/REARRANGEMENT When rearranging/ reconstructing or moving the storage system - contact Brännehylte Lagersystem. H DAILY CONTROL The pallet rack must be checked daily, according to those items below, so that no loadbearing parts that affect the load capacity of the pallet rack are damaged. Damaged load-bearing parts must be exchanged immediately. Other parts may be repaired. PERIODIC CONTROL According to law, the pallet rack must be checked at least once a year so that it is in accordance with the assembly instructions. X X Damages occurring from e.g. bumps from forklifts must be repaired immediately! A damaged upright or beam is a safety risk. OUT-OF- PLUMB The out-of- plumb must not exceed X= H/50 DEFORMATION OF BEAMS Max. remaining lateral deflection (after unload from allowed max. load) must not exceed 50% of the normal vertical deflection under full load. DEFORMATION OF BRACES Deformation of braces must not exceed 0 mm per metre. This applies regardless of the direction of deformation. DEFORMATION OF UPRIGHTS Uprights may bend outwards a maximum of 5 mm/m in relation to the perpendicular line, the rack s horizontal direction and a maximum of mm/m in rack depth. mm/m 5 mm/m DENTS & BUCKLES Damages to local parts (dents, buckles, tears and splits) should always be replaced. DEFORMATION OF BEAMS Maximum remaining vertical deflection (after unload from allowed max. load) must not exceed 20 % of the deflection during normal load. For care/use, see European Standard SS-EN 565:2008 Steel static storage systems - application and maintenance of storage equipment.

8 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS * Applies to C90 ** Applies to C20 M8 nut with flange M8 20 mm 2 M0 75 mm* 05 mm** A pipe sleeve is used as a spacer on the single sides of brace. Pipe sleeve M0 lock nut The braces are mounted back to back with the openings outwards. Tightening torque for M0 is 9.5 Nm. Use a torque wrench. 6

9 4 2 safety pins per beam must be attached. Safety pin 5 Levelling shim N.B. Make sure that the rack stands in plumb. Use levelling shims when necessary. 7

10 6 Spacer The run spacers must be placed as close to the brace attachment as possible! The lower run spacer must be placed by the second lowest brace attachment. The upper run spacer is attached at the highest horizontal brace attached to a diagonal. 7 The frame must be bolted to the floor with at least bolts/anchors per end. Expansion anchor M0x90 alt After assembly an assembly control must be performed! Multimonti M0x60 8
