Appraise the suitability of materials used in pavement construction and rehabilitation 2. Formulate the fundamental engineering principles governing pavement structural design. 3. Design appropriate combinations of materials and thicknesses for pavement and foundation construction 4. Implement pavement management processes. 5. Diagnose/interpret pavement distress and formulate appropriate maintenance and rehabilitation treatments Teaching and Learning Strategies The module will be delivered using online lectures and workshops. Assessment Strategies Assessment will include continuous assessment exercises and final exam. Repeat Assessment Procedures Repeat assessment will involve a repeat of failed elements of the module - final examination and/or resubmission of failed continuous assessment items.
