Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 8 Current packaging design ensures that no packaging material end up in the litter Participation of employees in e-waste recycling events across Australia. Konica works with its customers to design packaging which minimise littering by avoiding unnecessary removable items. However the nature of away from home consumption requires packaging systems to often contain removable pieces and ultimately littering is a personal decision. Effective away from home recycling systems and community education have been shown to reduce littering and Konica has supported the promotion of these goals through the Product Stewardship Forum. KMA has become member of the product stewardship forum for employee volunteering opportunities at TechCollect e-waste recycling events happening across Australia. It's a great opportunity to show KMA's commitment to keeping e-waste out of landfill and a chance for your employees to get involved in making a difference in their community. Your Experiences This section lets you share with us any achievements, good news stories and areas of difficulties in making progress against your plan and the Covenant goals and KPIs. Key achievements or good news stories Collection and recovery systems arranged throughout Australia in partnership with Drop Point and E-sims recycling. These arrangements are functioning throughout Australia and data is collated and analysed. In addition, KMA became a member of TechCollect e-waste recycling in order to demonstrate product stewardship of our products and packaging. This will also provide volunteering opportunities for our employees in the recycling events with councils. Areas of difficulties in making progress against your plan, Covenant goals or KPIs It has been hard to get local suppliers and Japan to review packaging products against Sustainable Packaging Guidelines. However, we managed to get through this process and feedback collected.
