Mounted on a robust trolley with integrated power supply, the KHT MultiScan is a complete mobile station for measuring the dimensions and weight of your items. As soon as you have entered the precise item data, this product not only optimises the utilisation of your valuable storage space, it can also e.g. determine the shipping container directly from the customer order and coordinate production processes with greater reliability. This helps you to cut costs and save valuable time. The KHT MultiScan provides you with all of the coefficients needed for long term capacity planning (for the design of storehouses), enhancing planning reliability. MultiScan functions The MultiScan consists of infrared transmitter and receiver modules arranged opposite to each other and an integrated weigher. Owing to this special arrangement, the modules can measure even the most complex geometries completely and reliably. A special module can calculate the maximum compressibility of textiles. The infrared beams used to take the measurements are completely harmless to the eyes and are emitted with a carrier frequency that serves to suppress disruptive extraneous light. MultiScan control software Our software solutions in several languages are custom configured precisely to your requirements. For instance, we can provide you with programs that determine the shipping cartons, examine bagging properties, and provide interfaces to your storage management system or barcode readers. The product is photographed by the integrated camera, and the image sent to the TFT screen. The VolumeScan carton and book scanner is the undisputed champion, taking only seconds to measure the dimensions and weights of cartons, books, and other box shaped packaging. This attractively priced entry level model features an officially calibrated precision weigher and, like the MultiScan, operates completely without physical contact and is virtually maintenance free. The VolumeScan is a complete measuring station. It can also be equipped for online data transfer to your storage management system. VolumeScan functions The type 1300 and type 800 VolumeScan stations feature ultrasound sensors that each measure length, width, and height. The integrated weigher then turns the measuring system into a complete measuring station. The type 600 and type 430 VolumeScan station consists of tight rows of infrared transmitter and receiver modules arranged opposite to each other. The horizontal light grid measures the item s length and width, the vertical the height. When the horizontal or vertical infrared curtain is broken by an item, the shadow it casts can be measured. 4 KHT ProfileScan DVM Measuring frame for roller and belt conveyors The KHT ProfileScan identifies, monitors, and classifies product profiles while they are passing at speeds up to 2 m/s. These data can then be used to steer material flows, assess the quality of the conveyed goods, and measure dimensions. The instrumentation can scan contours to high precision, identify workpieces (e.g. brake discs), and assign them to various workplaces. Measurements taken on cartons provide the data for robot controlled palletisation or billing based on shipping volumes. The fast and reliable control software always provides the required data and outputs warnings and plaintext messages like: Please tilt the carton. ProfileScan functions The KHT ProfileScan measuring frame operates with a particularly fine infrared light grid resolution (1.3 5 mm). The transmitter and receiver modules with tight rows of diodes and sensors are arranged opposite to each other. The conveyed goods pass through this infrared light curtain and are measured several times a second. After generating an image of the item s contour and position from these many individual sections, the system determines all of the required data. The modular layout of this system can be adapted to the most diverse requirements. ProfileScan control software This special software immediately detects deformed or incorrectly sealed cartons and assesses the convexity of parcels. An intelligent computing algorithm is used to measure cartons placed at an angle on the conveyor. The software supports all conventional interfaces and can transfer data to virtually all storage management systems.
