Consolidation The most economical way to transport goods by air is to have your goods shipped together with other cargo. As the name suggests by consolidating the goods with other shipments it can reduce the cost. Whilst costs can be lower the frequency of flights can be less, so this method of transport should only be considered if you have a longer delivery window. Charter Flights Freightair can organise a dedicated flight to transport your goods anywhere in the world. Whilst being an expensive option it gives virtual guaranteed arrival of your goods. Freightair can effect customs clearance of imported goods at any UK port and offer facilities such as: Loading containers De-Vanning containers Merchant haulage ERTS Bonded Warehouse Customs Documentation Direct Link to Customs Packing Insurance Competitive Rates Freightair work with some of the biggest international shipping companies and niche service providers to offer a cost-effective and reliable solution for your sea cargo. Sourcing the best routes and quickest transit times available, Freightair will safely and efficiently transport any size of shipment, from single pallets (LCL) all the way up to a full container load (FCL). Full Container Load (FCL) Containers can be positioned to load directly from your door and delivered directly onboard the next available vessel with short close out periods before the next sailing. Depending on size, large quantities of goods can be securely loaded in to 20 or 40 containers, placed on flat racks or in to open top containers. Less Container Load (LCL) Probably the most common method of transporting goods around the world. Shipments are consolidated at local warehouse facility before being loaded into containers and delivered to the Shipping Line. This may well be cost-effective however it is the slowest method both on Export and Import since longer closeouts on Export and time taken on arrival at destination where goods have to be devanned (unpacked) before being able to be delivered to the Consignee. Abnormal Cargo Loads Special Equipment can be sourced to handle OUT of GAUGE cargo such as conventional/break-bulk and RO-RO shipments.
