11 Matrix Project Status/Activities/Look Ahead Q4 Look Ahead Major equipment deliveries details to follow Focus will continue on civil work including additional large concrete pours for: Combustion Turbine Generator foundation & pedestal Steam Turbine Generator foundations (pours of approximately less than 1,000 cu metres) Completion of landscaping berms planting will take place as early as possible in

14 Transfer of CTG Parts from Pickering This activity involves approximately truck loads of material to be moved from a warehouse in Pickering, Ontario to Matrix s rental warehouse space on Taylor Kidd Road (Bombardier). Includes 12 oversized or permitted loads. Shipping route should include Highway 401, County Road 4 and Taylor Kidd Road. (confirm) These shipments have started and will continue at a rate of approximately 2 trucks per day. Shipments complete by October

15 Delivery of Duct Work from Cambridge This activity involves a total of 48 shipments from Cambridge, Ontario including 36 oversized or permitted loads. At present 1 permitted truck per day but could go to as many as 3 trucks/day. Shipping route will include Highway 401 to County Road 4 to Highway 33 to the NGS site Scheduled to be complete by mid-september 15

16 Delivery of Piping from Toronto Initially 6 trucks/week at Taylor Kidd warehouse and 10 trucks/week at site 31 trucks scheduled over the next two weeks Shipping route will include Highway 401 to County Road 4 to Highway 33 to the NGS site. Currently being affected by a strike 16

17 Heat Recovery Steam Generator Foundation Pours 2 large concrete pours (approximately 1,000 sq. metres/pour) to form the foundations for the Heat Recovery Steam Generators. Completed on September 8 and 14 17

18 Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Component Delivery Delivery of 24 large HRSG components and 6 steam drums will be via ship to Lafarge (heaviest module 232,036 kg) Component will be carried to site on 18-axle trailers (goldhofer) Trip from Lafarge to site is expected to take 15 minutes 2 shipments per day between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Commitment to avoid school busing times 8-8:30 a.m. and 3:30-4:00 p.m. OPP escort required in front and behind each shipment- can order convoy to stop to reduce traffic congestion Schedule ship currently expected to arrive September 27 or 28 8 days of deliveries 18

19 Heat Recovery Steam Generator Component Delivery Delivery will stand down any time Lafarge need their dock Other Requirements: Approximately 8 residential electrical services will have to be raised prior to the first delivery Goldhofer stored on NGS site at night Message signs to be installed prior to shipments 19

20 Condenser Delivery Delivery of condenser from supplier in US will be by barge to Lafarge One 12-line hydraulic platform trailer making two deliveries per day over two days between Lafarge and site Size requires either full road closure or escort (TBD) Schedule : Barge scheduled to arrive October 13 20

21 Combustion Turbine & Steam Turbine Foundation Concrete Pours Large concrete pours (approximately 800 to 1,000 cu metres/pour) to form the foundations and pedestals for the Combustion Turbine Generators. And the Steam Turbine Generator Similar to HRSG pours - will involve one concrete truck arriving and leaving the site every 5 minutes beginning at 7:00 a.m. for 8-10 hours. Main batch plant will be the CBM plant set up at the Cruickshank Quarry location on Taylor Kidd Road. Backup will come from CBM Kingston and then Belleville batch plant. Currently determining schedule for these pours. 21

22 Combustion Turbine Generator Delivery Delivery will be via ship from Japan and Savannah, Georgia to Lafarge 4 shipments to NGS site expected to take approximately 15 minutes Road closure and/or OPP escort required Target delivery date is early November 22
