SupplyPoint 3PL Billing UXC Eclipse s SupplyPoint Third Party Logistics (3PL) Billing add-on provides a flexible method of applying charges to all facets of the warehouse operation, beginning with the receipt of goods through to the eventual delivery to the end customer including any services performed as part of the delivery. When providing 3PL services it is essential to accurately manage the charges associated with handling a customer s inventory and ensure that there is transparency for invoicing and reporting. The SupplyPoint 3PL Billing add-on caters to these requirements with a comprehensive range of charges calculated in real-time as the automated invoicing activities occur.

2 Key Benefits Transparency for invoicing and reporting Charges calculated in real-time Reduced errors How it Works The SupplyPoint 3PL billing engine is capable of calculating charges for the following activities: Receipt, Put-away, Pick, Movement, Stocktake and Assembly / Production Storage (Both Fixed and Quantity based) Services (Urgent, Cash on Delivery, Pallet De-Hire, Factory Gate, Re-Pack, Invoice) Delivery and Fuel Surcharges based on Delivery Zones. Each charge supports a sophisticated pricing algorithm providing the ability to tailor the pricing structure to suit unique customer agreements and item requirements. Charging is based on the concept of Carton and Pallet movements, also considering special inquires such as temperature controlled items. All charges are calculated based on an items requirements including its temperature requirement and the bin it is stored in. All activity based charges are calculated in real-time (as each activity is completed) to ensure a timely and accurate account of charges. An entry is created for each charge and a delivery profile is established for each shipment. 2

3 Pricing Structure Each customer is assigned to a charge group which can have multiple item charges allocated to it by assigning an item charge code, essentially linking each item to a customer. Pricing is established at a charge group level, simplifying the setup of pricing and allowing multiple items and customers to be grouped together for the purpose of price calculations and maintenance. This style of price structure removes the need for complicated customer and item setup while still providing very discrete price structures for those customers and items that require special handling. Prices are established in a matrix and allow for the creation of prices in advance through the use of start and end dates, catering for contract negotiations to be completed and pricing established in advance of the changes. As pricing can be established per location / warehouse the charge functionality caters for multiple site operations with different charges for each location / warehouse being utilized by the 3PL customer. Post codes and shipment methods can be configured to use specific charging rates, including fuel surcharges, providing the most flexible charging structure catering for those more expensive routes. Storage Storage charging makes up another critical component of any warehouse charging system and our SupplyPoint 3PL Billing add-on provides comprehensive support for a range of customer requirements. Storage charges can be configured to be discrete down to an individual bin level if required or grouped into logical zones in the warehouse, with the options of a fixed charge per day or charges calculated on the quantity stored in each bin per day. Storage charges are calculated on a daily basis and entries created for subsequent invoicing. For analysis and reporting purposes, each storage entry will have detailed bin contents stored with it for determining how each charge was calculated. 3

4 Invoicing Invoicing each customer for their accumulated charges over the period occurs on an automated basis - with each customer s invoice being created with the level of detail configured specifically for that customer. Details can be customised for each customer - as a single line per invoice to a complete breakdown of every entry associated with the period. This customer invoice configuration setup provides a flexible invoicing system while still maintaining ease of use. When invoices are created, the system can also automatically Release and Post each document, if configured to do so (based on the customer s settings). This coupled with automated document distribution means that the entire invoicing process from creating the 3PL invoices to sending the invoices is one fully automated process. 4
