General Haulage From the company s inception in 1969, general haulage has been a central service ofering, providing a quality solution with a responsive approach and outstanding safety record postcodes. Full tracking and traceability, next day and timed deliveries are all part of the service. Workshops R.T. Keedwell ofers full servicing, MOT testing & repair facilities for commercial vehicles at its Highbridge depot in Somerset. It is a DVSA approved test facility. Regional Distribution, Groupage, Pallet Network, Warehousing As the company has developed so has its range of services, which include regional distribution, warehousing & groupage, taking advantage of the R.T. Keedwell provides transport & warehousing services across a number of sectors from steel and brick for the construction industry to food & drink, paper, timber, packaging, raw materials and FMCG. The operation is backed with a signiicant investment in advanced transport management systems and telematics, providing the customer with a highly professional and eicient transport solution. A continual investment in satellite tracked vehicles with geo-fence notiication facility and direct customer interface for order input, status and KPI reporting, ensures that standards are constantly monitored and maintained. Construction With many years of working for the construction industry, R.T. Keedwell has a highly skilled and knowledgeable team and a specialist leet of crane mounted and mechanical of load vehicles. Paper and Timber R.T. Keedwell has a substantial leet of specialist combi trailers, to safely and securely transport jumbo reels, ensuring that they arrive in pristine condition. Food and Drink Extensive food and drink transport experience spanning many years, has enabled R.T. Keedwell to fully understand the pressures that seasonal peaks and short lead times have on the supply chain. R.T. Keedwell provides a fast response, total lexibility and supply chain visibility. Packaging and Raw Materials With a leet of 525 trucks, over 1,000 trailers, 11 depots, 250,000 sq ft of warehousing and the delivery of over 13,500 full trailer loads per month throughout the UK, R.T. Keedwell is exceptionally well positioned to meet the transport and storage demands for packaging and raw materials. FMCG Recognising the importance of supply chain visibility to monitor and track in and outbound deliveries for fast moving consumer goods is understood and catered for by R.T.Keedwell. For more than 40 years we have faced many challenges together as the economy, the market and the regulations afecting transport have changed over time. In some ways we are a diicult customer for a haulage company as we have a low value bulky product that must nevertheless be handled carefully. Our business is also very seasonal, with 80% of our annual demand within the three month spring season and can be very responsive to weather conditions. Before a Bank Holiday Weekend the number of trailers that we require can triple with very little notice. Despite all of these issues we have worked together to meet the demands of our customers and to minimise costs, and we have always received a high quality service.
